Say what you like about Pubis and his chairman, but Stoke is significantly more ambitious than some other mid-table teams we could mention. I think they're the most improved squad in league this summer.

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is close to signing for European champions Barcelona for a fee believed to be about £35m.

The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

Both are highly talented and at least two seasons away from being good enough for the nPower Championship.

Another one missed.

 - BBC Sport's Dan Roan reports Samir Nasri is close to leaving Arsenal - for Manchester City. The 2 clubs are close to agreeing a fee between 22m and 24m.

Tuncay has Bolton medical and will complete his move in the next few hours.
Bolton are also in advanced talks with Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Sunderland are heavily interested in Niko Kranjcar.

Fabregas and Nasri gone, Arsenal in talks with Scott Dann and interested in Reading's Obita.

Liverpool to sign Jose Enrique.

Galatasaray midfielder Arda Turan has signed a deal with Atlético Madrid.

I can't see Arsenal winning any silverware this season.

What odds for Wenger to get the boot?

Paris Saint-Germain sack Kombouaré. Arsenal sack Wenger. Paris Saint-Germain appoint Wenger.

You heard it here first (unless you read the same article as me speculating that Wenger might go back to France).

I watched the France v Chile game last night. Alexis Sanchez came on at half-time for Chile. He is unbelievable. What a player. I wonder if we can prize him away from that tinpot outfit, Barcelona, for a few quid. He's only recently signed for them so he can't have any special affection for them yet.
Finn and Corked Hat, you are forever part of the family.

Peter Crouch has rejected a move to Stoke.

They have therefore stepped up their interest in Nicklas Bendtner and have bid about 7m. They have also offered Joey Barton a contract.

Bolton have made a bid for David N'Gog.
Leicester to sign Robbie Keane.

Swansea have signed dutch international goalkeeper Michel Vorm for 1.5m.

If Crouch is not prepared to go to Stoke, then I wonder why Bendtner would.

That said, if they can get him for £7m, we should really be in for him too.

not sure if anybody mentioned but Wesley Verhoek didnt move to Notts Forest in the end due to 'fear of homesickness'.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar turned down a €14m move to Rubin.

Nobody mentioned the soon to be highest earning player Samuel Eto'o who appears to be moving to Anzhi for €330,000k per week before tax.

he's trying to push Stoke on with a different standard of player. we will have to wait and see if he drops the thuggish side of his team but their is no doubt they have moved up a level with regards investment in the last year.

I was being facetious  :dft011:

Stoke may have some money to spend, but they will never be able to get bigger than a midtable team
