I love mugs and will just buy one because I like it
Question, what is your favourite ceramic mug and why?

Mine at the moment is a mug with the moomintroll adventure on that cost me more than I was expecting in Edinburgh.

You're making me share my dark side now Mrs!!!! Ok, look I'm not proud of it but my favourite mug has strictly come dancing on it. My daughter bought it at the live show tour thingy they do and ive adopted it. It's the right size for me because I'm not a big hot drink lover. (Most of my mugs are super dad etc and are all far too big for my liking). I could just use the dad mug and fill it half way but I have a fondness for that mug now.

There I said it and I live with 3 girls so before you ask. Yes I watch strictly. I'm not proud but I could think of worse.

So whilst your all out on the pi#s after attending the cottage, I go home with a cup of hot chocolate in my strictly mug, with a Chinese and watch x factor and strictly.
Well this week after we lose at Leeds I'm hoping to see the New Hobbit film..... even if it's rubbish it Legolas in it.
I just love the Dwarf song in the first film when they are in bag end, very stirring.

just back from Leicester square, the only place to see it! two Asian BLOKES next to me were in tears!that's all I'm saying Clare

Emmmm....a dark ending?

But Danny have you got a Mug with a picture of that Mug Magath on it ? it could be worth a fortune in years to come.

Wouldn't be practicle as a mug design as Magath couldn't get a handle on anything

Now THAT'S good  064.gif

I once went to the museum in the little Scottish town of Nairn. Interestingly, it was the home town of John Hanning Speke who was the co-discoverer, along with Somebody Burton, of the source of the Blue Nile. This museum was putting on a Dr Who exhibition which had a display case of things like Dr Who dinky cars etc.

Anyway, the thing that caught my eye was a ceramic mug (getting back on topic) with the words to the Dr Who theme music printed on it. Ah, didn't think it had words thinks you, well I can tell you that it has and these are they: dumba da dum dumba da dum dumba da dum dumba da dum dumba da dum dumba da dum WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

I rather liked that.

There is a question that has troubled me from when I was a child. In the 1914 Christmas football match between Allies and Germany, did we win on penalties?

It was abandoned
Yes there was a pitch invasion

Danny is doing a good job keeping this going on his own. Anyway, boxing day Fulham story, was anyone else at the match. Chelsea at Stamford Bridge...arrived an hour early, got in 20 minutes late. Nowhere near enough turnstiles open. Pitch is a quagmire, Besty had the crap kicked out of him and did not reappear after 1/2 time. I had to stand on a rusty oil drum so I could see anything. Witnessed a thug Chelsea supporter assault someone. Lost 2-0 I think. What a bloody nightmare day out. Happy xmas.  Anyone else at the game????

We ( I ) have not seen the movie yet but we are planning on seeing it.  One thing I hate now a days is the tendency for movies or tv series to have dark endings.  Things like killing off main characters or heros.  There is enough bad things in the world so when I see movies I rather like my happy endings.

Remember going to Lincoln City away in the mid 90's on boxing day and we got thumped 4-0. Simon Morgan admitted in his book that it was the only game he ever played and just didn't want to be on the pitch so didn't try. It was icy and not ideal for football.....not that we played much of that in those days!! Happy Xmas. Anyone else at the game????

The brilliant Jackson Browne has just been touring Britain, though  I sadly missed  seeing him.

He's a great, very underrated songwriter, I think, and I posted this  video on a music thread started by Burt some time ago.

It's a sad, though also uplifting , song I think - but I find it appropriate for this time of year, when we sometimes think of those we have lost -but life goes on.

Funny enough was discussing with my better half a thread where someone stupidly said that the game against Watford was the worst he had ever seen in 50 years of supporting the club and was correctly shot down by posters remarking about the 80's and 90's games,my wife straight away cited the Lincoln  game as the worst that she had ever witnessed by Fulham

My first car was a Ford Anglia, 1954. Lovely car, dark green and polished up a treat. Only problem was if it was raining, the wipers stopped working if you went up a hill. Apart from that.....

My knowledge and experience doesn't cover the 80s or a lot of the 90s. I was there but it's hard to take in how bad a game is when your a child.

Anyway even I wouldn't say Watford was the worst.  I think the lowest point of my Fulham days has to be losing at home to Sheffield utd in the cup last year. I don't think I've ever been that deflated and depressed. The whole night was torture
