Besitkas the latest team to be linked with Mitroglou

After reports of Fenerbahce leading the way for the signature of Mitroglou, followed by Udinese and Saasuolo showing an interest, Besitkas are the latest club to be linked. Besitkas signed Demba Ba from Chelsea last season and after scoring 27 goals in all competitions, Shanghai Shenua are rumoured to be tempting Besitkas to sell Ba with a bid in excess of EU 12 million.

With Besitkas likely to sell with an offer of that size, it means they're currently on the look out for a centre forward and Turkish press are this morning reporting that Besitkas have turned to Mitroglou as Ba's replacement. The reports are stating that Fulham are trying to recoup as much of the alleged GBP 12 million we paid for Mitroglou as possible, but that we are open to loan offers. With a loan fee of EU 2.5 million mentioned, it will help chip away at the sizeable transfer fee paid and also remove his wages from our books.

One thing is for certain, with so many clubs now linked, it looks like Mitroglou wont be with Fulham this coming season and if we can get a transfer fee anywhere near what we paid for him, it would be best for all parties if he moved on permanently. After just 3 appearances and no goals, our record signing has proved to be disastrous signing for the club.

Sampdoria are also now interested in signing Mitro

We may get a decent fee out of mitro at this rate.  Maybe it is time we start to act like he is part of our plans so we can drive the price up.

Hoping the club are after a strong cdm which we never replaced when etuhu left ->    diagouraga
Hopefully We get rid of amorebeita and find a replacement to play alongside Bodurov/Hutchinson -> Tom Lees
Husband To fill the left back spot
A striker to play alongside Mccormack presuming we get money in for Mitroglou -> Vydra/Rhodes

Also hoping the Tom Cairney deal goes through.

According to some Twitter reports (as good as they are worth) Blackburn have rejected our approach for Cairney

Some people reporting that the deal was as good as done, closer than we think, fee and personal terms agreed. I hope this isn't egg on those peoples faces.

Too bloody right,  but more people reporting it's going through rather than it isn't. So at the moment egg stays in the box.

Just seen Matt Lowton has joined Burnley. There's a missed opportunity if ever there was one

Swansea are reported to be prepared to sell their attacking midfielder Michu for £4 mil. At 29 he is just a little old for that price but could fit the bill.

Are you suggesting, Fulham are capable of this kind of signing?

Why not? We have the money. We have the location. We have the infra structure. Just need to convince him we have the ambition. That is the only downer.

I don't see why anyone should have egg on their face. They are only relaying information they pick up and we all know nothing is guaranteed until it is on the offal!

The Twitterverse is a circle of nothing. Somebody posts something and it is repeated as fact. Then somebody else says something different and it is repeated as fact. The same people who said yesterday that Cariney was having a medical and all will be agreed are now saying Fulham have shown an interest in Cairney. So the answer is enjoy the Twitterverse but don't believe it.

The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

Not sure we'd justify the wage budget, potentially but im not sure for FFP, location, yes, infra structure? Not convinced at the moment. Don't want to put too much of a downer on it but I don't think the clubs past 2 years and current status would do anything to entice this type of signing, no matter how much ambition you pour into people. We're a medioacre mid to lower table championship team and players like Michu wouldn't take our offers seriously. Hope to be proven wrong but this calibre of player is out of our reach.

Fulham linked with Man Utd Full back Reece James 21.

Fulham are among a number of clubs linked with a loan move for Manchester United full-back Reece James.

The 21 year-old spent last the final two months of last season on loan at Huddersfield Town and manager Chris Powell is keen to extend the loan arrangement into the new campaign. James, who has made a single appearance for the Old Trafford club, is seen as Powell's primary target to continue filling Huddersfield's vacant left back spot but it remains far from clear whether United manager Louis van Gaal will be willing to let him out on loan again.

If United decide that James, who is highly rated at Carrington and signed a new contract in February, it seems that there will be plenty of competition for his services. Newly-promoted Watford are said to be interested in offering him a taste of top flight football, whilst Fulham and QPR are also rumoured to be interested. Kit Symons has little cover for Sean Kavanagh at left back having seen Greek international Kostas Stafylidis return to his parent club Bayer Leverkusen.

Jones, who scored one goal in eight appearances for Huddersfield last season, has also spent time on loan at Carlisle United and Rotherham United in recent seasons.

Michu would be one hell of a gamble. Pretty much injured for two years with a tonne of ankle injuries and surgeries. £4m for a 29 year old striker whose career could well be winding down given these injury problems? No from me. Up top is where we least need to touch, £4m would be better spent bringing in a top quality centre back, that's some chunk of our budget.
