People need to stop getting carried away. Yes the weekend was the best it could possibly be for us, but we have to play them both still. And we play those games in the very near future. Once we have got a result against both sides, we can get carried away. It would be silly to now though.

People said that about West Brom etc. If we show up we will blow any team in the division out of the water, just got to perform as we know we can.

Getting a bit tired of the "the next game will be a tough test" refrain.

Saying they won't finish top 6 is a bit of a stretch - they have one of the best squads in the division - but they could certainly be reeled in by the chasing pack and end up outside the automatic spots.

At our best we are easily the strongest side in the league. Just a case of continuing to perform at that top level game after game. Even the best teams can become unstuck in this league.

I think we can all see how this ends.....

Derby beat Bournemouth......
Fulham beat Derby.....
Bournemouth beat ????

Very Fulhamish!!!

Strangest thing about today's game was only the Ref took a knee. No idea what the Linos did.

I think once WBA bring in a new manager there stock will rise and they could well renew a challenge for the top two got some good footballers not being used properly.

Bournemouth are still a very good team with very good players.

They were never gonna go unbeaten! Still believe their first XI is only slightly weaker than our own and they're only a point off us, huge few games coming up if we can increase the gap to 3rd.

Personally not bothered about finishing 1 or 2.

Got to agree... 1st or 2nd is promotion.... just really want 100+ goals 🤞😉

48 after 18 games says you're in with a good chance, plus a manager who doesn't sit back when we are two up

If we keep going at this rate we will hit 122......  but I know that we will go through a poor patch at some point.....
It is just such a great season so far.....

Bournemouth 'unraveled' at 2 - 1 up, they were trying to step it up, but Derby were inspired by a bit of 'magic', a class goal, then Derby dominated although Bournemouth had a couple of clear cut chances, should have scored.

Derby need to win at least half of their remaining matches and get some draws, oh a pray or two.

1st is always what we have to make our primary goal and then to break Tigana's points total would be the icing on the cake.

Teams go through ups and downs. One or two results don't make a season. We make far too many conclusions on the odd result.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

A good weekend indeed...but still, only one weekend.    We could lose to Derby and be back in 2nd.

To be fair to Parker, I think there was pressure on him when we played Brentford at Wembley and he seemed to cope quite well with that....
It didn't work out for him in the end,  but like almost every manager, they learn and they get better.
But there is no way in hell I would swap him back for Silva... 😉👍⚽️⚽️⚽️

To be honest we are nearly half way through the season and based on what we have seen so far it would be a travesty if both Fulham and Bournemouth did not both get automatic promotion. Yes there is a long way to go and there are no guarantees as each team below will up their game to try and beat us to try and show their own supporters that they are improving. We just have to keep  our heads, stay professional and fight for every point we can. I'm sure we can do this

I think there are still reasons to be cautious about our promotion, at this stage.
  • Firstly, Bournemouth can finish ahead of us and if they luckily beat us twice probably will. If one club goes on a massive winning streak, the team coming second is the potential sacrificial lamb.
  • Secondly, the championship is weaker than normally so a long winning streak for WBA (or another team) is very possible.
  • Thirdly, the next five games are against Giant Killers (Derby, Preston, Bournemouth, Luton, and Sheffield United).
  • Lastly, we probably need to win 13 out of 23 games away from home to be guaranteed automatic promotion. We currently have won 6 out of 9 easy games, so still have 7 to win out of 12 harder games.

Alternatively, if we win the next five games without major injuries, the above reasons will start to fall like flies. I'd like the season effectively over before we play Bournemouth in the 44th game to allow more rest time.
