Vini's tackling numbers were great - and probably a similar like for like to Joao.

A Vini + Andre pivot would be so solid.

I don't immediately see how a player unlucky enough to twice suffer a broken leg almost a quarter of a century ago, represents a 'track record' of dodgy knees among Arsenal players.

Don't know much about him and when I watched them can't remember him standing out? Whereas Harmer is a decent consistent midfielder who might be worth pursuing. Lacks a yard of pace but has most of the other attributes.

I mean, if we were genuinely having a discussion about this, I'd take the time to confirm and post the cumulative figures for Arsenal players' games missed through injury over the last 10-20 years, versus other clubs. But is that necessary? I always thought this was so obvious and widely-acknowledged as to constitute football common sense. I was being a bit ironic with the 90s Selley reference but didn't expect anyone to take issue with the thrust of the post.

Think you're prob underestimating the FFP room this year mate. The championship year is gone where we made massive losses and our allowable losses for the 3 year period was a lot lower. The last two years we have done incredibly well not spending huge amounts and the Mitro sale. Add the Joao sale for this year. Also add the fact that Joao, Mitro and Willian were in our top 5 earners at the club as far as I am aware (Leno and Raul also on loads I believe).

In all likelihood Andre and Kılıçsoy wages would be significantly lower as young players coming from leagues that pay a lot less. Looks like Smith Rowe is only on £40k a week at Arsenal as well although to convince him to come we'd prob have to offer him a lot.

With Willian and BDR gone we need two...ESR as a starter and Kılıçsoy to bring through would be amazing.

With the championship year and 3 massive wages gone plus two massive sales we should comfortably have the money for these two and Andre plus at least one if not two top centre halves would have thought. I think left back we prob buy cheap or just loan again as just a back up. Here's praying on all anyway.

I don't think most realize how low ESR's wages are reported to be. His current salary would place him in the bottom half of Fulham's roster. His fee will be the hold up, not his wages. Probably much the same with McTominay or Chalobah.

I imagine the club know whether players wage requests are going to fit on the roster before transfer fees are even offered.

May I ask according to who or what metric? And if so how come only Munchengladbach are the ones interested?

I guess he's done well in the belgian league I see so far, is that enough to rank him as the top 8 most highly rated under 25 in Europe though? Look at Tresor who was "the assist king" in Belgian league who had 28 assists in 64 games in Belgium - then 0 in 16 in the prem for burnley.

Again I'm not doubting he's in good form in a very mediocre league, I was just wondering where the statement came from that he's top 8 most highly rated CAM in Europe under 25.
Is that your assertion based off of those stats or it was a moniker given to him somewhere?

Because again 0 assists in 16 games Tresor absolutely dominated that league too the season before with 24 assists and 8 goals in 42 appearances from the wing. And did absolutely nothing last year in the prem.
