Still trying to get a handle on the following:

A)  What are the differences between Trindade and McTominay?

B)  Would FFC want one or the other?  Or both?

C)  How does ESR fit into the above picture, or not?

Just looking for some information/help regarding the above targets.......

From what I understand, Andre is a deep-lying midfielder, breaks up play and keeps the ball moving. McTominay is a defensive midfielder but has been used further up the pitch recently and has scored a fair few goals as a result of that. ESR is a number 10 and also plays as a left sided forward.

All three of them would be good signings. And I think they would all play well together.

These journalists have no idea what's going on.  Hence a million different stories.

Actually Pete Rutzler is ITK with the club. He's our dedicated reporter from the Athletic and he 100% has contacts inside the club because he's broke transfer stories before anyone else about deals that have then happened. He also doesn't tweet idle gossip until he's got it verified

Really, can you name one single transfer that Rutzler broke ,
I'm intrigued because he normally is one of the last to know,
And I certainly wouldn't regard him as I.T.K as you have.

Shane Duffy - literally nobody had wind of it whatsoever and he tweeted about it out of nowhere they day before it happened. Don't conflate tweeting about something first with automatically being ITK, a lot of people tweet made up stuff to be the first to report on something, the Athletic writers usually try to back up what they report with accuracy, I.E. Palace going to bid £35m including add ons but likely to be rejected. If it's gotta be over £35m you can see why we would we waiting to sign that sort of player until august, we'd likely save 5-10m and that's a whole extra signing, £40m is a rip off for someone who's barely played in 2 years

BestOfBrede

Rumours though are that Palace, having sold their best player, will struggle to hold onto another 2-3 of their best players - all attacking, except 1 defender. Why would ESR join them, if true?

I personally don't begrudge Willian his time off or his slowness in deciding. But I do tend toward respecting elders in most cases. Imo every game we have him for is a joy. Even when he's not at his best I find him fun to watch.

Agree to an extent, but it's not really fair on MS or if they have to replace him, but not knowing when or If.

Can't believe most posters on here, none of you know what players the club are going to sign, if it was that easy why aren't any of you on the clubs board.

Are you suggesting Arsenal will reject a bid of £35m from Palace now, then sell him to us for £30m next month? Seems a somewhat unlikely fact pattern to me...
Also an English talent clubs always have to pay a premium.with his history would let palace have him.

Because if Arsenal are struggling to sell one of their prized assets because nobody will cough up the money and they know that selling him gives them their best FFP boost to then reinvest in new players, they're going to drop the price aren't they. He's already been told he's not really in their plans and if they want to drum up funds for Arteta then they'll need to compromise on a price, it's not that farfetched

Well if Palace are coughing up £35m, we know the price won't go below that level, even if Arsenal do panic as the window drags on. FWIW I'm not suggesting we pay that, I don't think the player is worth it, but it shows we gain little from waiting other than another club coming along and offering more than we were.

Says £35m including add ons so depends what the structure is. If say £30m + £5m match it as a final offer if we want him that badly and let the player choose or let Palace pay more. I really want this signing but any more than that is getting ridiculous with the injury record.

I was really looking forward to this window with FFP room but been pretty horrendous so far. Let's pray we can make some breakthroughs next week.

The biggest problem with our club buying and selling has always been our problem since the present regime and near the end of f'hads time. As I said before Mitro bought by our manager before parker as was aluko we made a profit, silva bought palhinha, sold for a profit, and if needed pererera would make a profit,Robinson playing for USA alongside ream while at Wigan am sure he had a lot to do with him coming here rather than anyone at club finding him.In the nutshell our scouting network run by the acting Dof and staff are crap have been for 15 years, that's why Palace have moved in front of fulham identifying talent buying and selling for a profit has been a massive problem for the club we can't move forward as a club till we address this problem giving jobs to the boys who aren't up to it are holding us back and when silva contract comes to an end because our owner hasn't come to terms with the problem he used to say in his programme notes I give them the tools to do the job, unfortunately they who are in the job put a spanner in the works including family.

It makes you wonder if ESR is worth £40 million then what is Eze worth 🤔

The arse have said they will allow esr to go where he wants to go.
If he chooses us or cp, or another bidder, tis his choice - as long as price is right. I can't see that 1-2 mill will make much difference if he states 'I don't want to go there!'

LC

If Chelsea end up offering £35m for Andreas then it's a no brainer.

We should get ESR and someone like Jota Silva as well. That would give us, Iwobi, Silva, Wilson, Adama and ESR across the forward line- not to mention Jay can play across the forward line as well.

Ah, but what about Muniz, Mick? A Tony Khan signing, you said. And on more than one occasion.

Oddly enough, you haven't made that claim since his 8-goal scoring streak transformed him from a flop into a potential jewel. I wonder why. It couldn't be because your fixation with running down Tony Khan (every good signing has nothing to do our DoF: every bad one has his hands all over it) is more important to you than the truth, could it?

If we were to get that for AP I'd go to £40m for ESR. We'd have ridiculous FFP room and would just have to do it if we lose AP to fill one of the massive holes. If Chelsea truly come calling you can bet he'll want to go with what he's been saying.

Muniz actually was a silva signing to be fair.

But Tosin, Tete, Andreas, Joachim, Robinson, Palhinha, etc Tony and his scouting team had their hand in. Remember last years we were in for zirkzee and tobido who now are lining up major moves so clearly the scoutings just fine. Ignore the ranting its probably misguided at the last fee years. Say what ya want about negotiations etc but I don't think we struggle to identify good talent. We needed to stabilise in the prem with players that werent just projects. We did that, now we're being linked to younger prospects
