It's not my money but 'IF' we've been after Andre for over a year, then surely cough up and not lose out!
I'm concerned that another club jumps in at the last minute!

Thing is they have zero reason to crack until deadline day unless Andre kicks up a fuss. They were bottom of the table when he came back from injury and since they have like 3 wins and a couple draws. They'll want to hold on as long as possible

Cameron Puertas has made considerable progress since joining Union Saint-Gilloise from FC Lausanne-Sport in January 2022. A native of Lausanne, he is eligible to represent Switzerland and Spain internationally, as he is a Spanish citizen. Meanwhile, he spent his formative years in Switzerland, graduating from the youth division at FC Lausanne-Sport.

The 25-year-old has been a regular for Union Saint-Gilloise in the last two and a half years, turning out 114 times thus far while chipping in with 20 goals and 24 assists. Meanwhile, Puertas's progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe.

The report by Blick (h/t Sport Witness) has suggested that Puertas and Dan Ndoye are the likeliest Swiss players to secure a move in the coming weeks. A move to the Premier League might be on the cards, with Fulham keen on securing Cameron Puertas's services in the summer transfer window.

Agree, but my point is that if we don't up the offer, I can see the likes of Forest, Wet Spam etc, doing just that, and we lose out! I'm not moaning but just concerned that we sometimes are a little slow and penny pinching!? Of course, this is only relevant if it's true that Marco really wants him!

Did we miss out on Plavidis? I know it's & buts but he was mentioned her a few times since December as striker from AZ.

Went to benfica for £18m which is cheap for a striker in todays market. Scored every preseason game so far and 2 within 15 min against feyenoord.

That's the issue with these negotiations... no one actually knows what the delays are... it could simply be the players agents are trying to squeeze a few more quid out of the club... a bigger signing on fee... improved win bonus' etc... it is not always the club at fault and we all know there is plenty of made up rubbish in the media... half of it from agents or selling clubs...

Fabio not ruling out a move away from liverpool, ultimately just wants to play consistently.
So - if it meant selling Andreas Pereira to make way- would you try and bring him back and play ESR on the left?

At first I was well up for  it but more I think about it I'm not sold on the idea 100% . Just musing on a Sunday, interested what other people would make of it.

Sess was obviously a more feelgood return having signed and got us a good fee originally, + came back on a free , Imagine some might not be so keen on young Fabio but interested to hear peoples thoughts

Ability / age wise i'd 100% take him back. Imagine the fee would be north of £20m so i'd say no solely on the principle of WE'D have effectively paid LIVERPOOL £20,000,000+ for THEM to loan him off us for 2 years and not play him.

Call me a small, petty man if you like but the above would really leave a bitter taste so i'll pass ;)

Yeh I can see that being a frustrating mental barrier. We got around 5m-£7m for him and have a 20% sell-on clause. So we'd get 20% off if that helps.

So if it were 20m it'd be effectively £16m with the 20% off. We received £5m, so minus £11m for the whole thing having not paid his wages for a few years.

Having signed Sess on a free maybe it'd be a net win? haha full mental gymnastics. Ultimately if we get a great young player there are worse deals out there. Assuming we sold Andreas for £30+ to Cheslea to make way for him we'd have probably made  around 20m in profit on Andreas. How we doing? any closer to being up for it? ha

I'm a big fan of AP but if we sold him for more than we'd have to buy Fabio back for I'd be all over it. Firstly Fabio is 21 and AP is 28. Secondly I think when fully developed Fabio will be a better player than AP. Thirdly Fabio will score goals. You could find both Fabio and ESR could push double figures which is massive and takes a lot of pressure off Muniz. Finally just pure sentiment of course.

Yes it would be extremely frustrating paying Liverpool say £20 million but if he reaches his potential he could be worth £50m+ in a few years so think of it that way. AP will never be worth more than he is now.

Fabio was brilliant for Hull last year and played as a striker for them once he had settled in scoring 9 goals and 1 assist in 12 games as a striker! Bear in mind we're all getting excited to see what Jay can do and he only got 12 all season. We'd buy him as a 10 of course but showed for Hull is a change up option.

Finally on the positive side he hasn't played much in the prem but when he has he has looked decent. End of the Parker relegation he looked like our best player for a few games and he was only 18. On the odd occasion he played for Liverpool still got a goal or two I believe. In the right team, playing the right position with the right manager I think he'd fly.

My only massive reservation would be losing another incredibly experienced and solid player who offers the team plenty in AP where Fabio would be more a work in progress.

I wonder what Marco would think if offered the choice?! He clearly adores AP but he did Fabio as well! Bet he'd love both but could only ever happen if AP went I think. If I were to guess I actually think his preference would be to keep AP as he seems to have limitless trust in him. If AP gets an offer and is desperate to leave id personally be all over Fabio coming back. God just imagine him, Sess and Jay smashing it. We can but dream.

Fees and my own personal pettiness aside I'd love Fabio back, but the fact we have a 20% sell on clause could mean Liverpool would be more reluctant to sell back to us over pretty much anyone as they would be losing out - unless we paid 20% over the odds / more than other bidders to make up the "shortfall".

But yeah, would be great to see him back in a Fulham shirt.

This makes no sense to me. We'll get the 20 % of whatever the profit is regardless of whether we or someone else buys him. Liverpool gets the profit minus 20 %. There is literally no difference, is there? If there is, why is that?

Really, we need 2-3 signing like that this summer.

With all due respect to Sessegnon and even ESR, I will be pretty deflated if we don't sign Andre, and concerned about the strategy and competence of whoever's in charge of the club these days.

Very disrespectful to Emile and a lack of football knowledge, ESR is an incredible signing for us.

Agree 100%. ESR has proved he can play in Premiership. Andre is used to playing in a less combative league and will take time to get up to speed if he were signed. No brainier.

Agree. Think we are making a major mistake leaving this late. They can't be that far apart. What if Liverpool sells Endo? They could conceivably come back in for him and then we no longer have the players preference

it's amazing that he's comeback and dragged them off the bottom with 3 wins and 2 draws,you can see why they want him to stay,I think this could be just paper talk,which would be a shame as he's a great player.

Got to be one of the most frustrating rumours ever and more than a rumour as know Ali Mac went and know we have put in a low offer. Just what the hell is going on with it? Supposedly they are signing a replacement.

As others have posted if we don't get this done now for me it's an absolute disaster. Supposedly we were worried about his fitness after the injury. Well he's played what, 5 full games now since back without issue? Just get this frigging deal done. He's a steal at £25 million. Never trusting anything that Rudy frigging Galletti or whatever his name is as he said it was all agreed half a week ago which other reporters have said is a load of rubbish and we haven't even followed up with a second offer. Madness. As always who knows what's actually happening behind the scenes but soooo frustrating.

Oh and not sure who the Fulham fans are in the comments on the link above but posting that 'free Andre' rubbish. Lowering ourselves to Bayern and Al Hilal standards...for shame.

Think it is strong to completely rule it out. We know Ali Mac went there last year. We know we have bid as their president confirmed it. My guess is that we know full well at this point no one else is in for him so we are trying to drive the price down. As I said on here before seems pretty stupid if so as they don't really want to sell by all accounts and he has too much respect for the club not to kick off. Having said all that it does seem strange if we want him that much how little activity they are suggesting is coming from us at that point. I do think our interest isn't just paper talk however as why would Ali Mac have gone and why would their president say we had put in an offer.

ESR we went in low,but in the end had to put a proper bid in and now we are close to signing him.think Andre won't go anywhere until we put a serious bid in ,I don't blame the selling club holding out for an inspirational player.

Same here- thought he'd be a superb buy and at £18m (euros) not that much. He'll score loads of goals there then come to England for £45m!

Just for some clarity, I read an article 3 or 4 weeks ago where it was stated that Fluminese wanted to keep Andre for two games in August,  one of which I'm sure was August 13th, when I read the article I thought,  "that's no good for us"
With each passing day/week I'm convinced that nothing will happen with regards to Andre until after August 13th,
