Buying four goalkeepers works on fifa but FFP is a bugger in real life, and he's all profit as an academy grad so balances the books. Their club ethos/morale is going to be almost negligible if they continue this for a couple more years, players will exist in an environment there where they're nothing more than commodities on inflated wages that nobody will match when they finally decide they want to play football again. Hopefully Chelsea run out of assets to flog to fudge FFP and implode but that's a few years away yet - it seems weird but they've got the most batshit crazy American owners of the lot, they make 2013-2016 Khan's look world class

Fulham will play the waiting game for André

Strong 125th post on the board. Care to share a source, or do you 'just know'? lol
Fulhan has already negotiated with Andre. salary and contract and a good proposal is about 3 times what you earn in Brazil. Andre has already told Fluminense that he wants to play for Fulham. It's too big a turnaround for this not to happen

Deal will be done next week, United need to sell to buy.
McTominay is open to join

I can't give out sources. I'm sorry.

Hmm, not sure you're working off anything more than what's already public. I suppose time will tell if you're right or not. You've got 7 days, 9 if we're being generous.

I belive this is TheFulhamGuy with a changed name based on post history? Tbf they weren't wrong with ESR which if you're being skeptical you could say was based on public knowledge, but this is the silly season thread so all news welcome ::scarf::

I've just gone through their historical posts, there's a fair and grounded demeanour to the posts, but there's quite a bit he's said which hasn't come to fruition so is hard to place.

There are some that seem legitimate, Castagne, Broja. So maybe can give them more credit than I do.

That being said it's fair to be skeptical, there are always people claiming to be ITKs and they're still getting their info 2nd or 3rd hand.

Part of me does wonder if the club pass on some of the stories to FFN (Fulham Fan News) which seems to be their source, as a way to control information on the market, not necessarily for it to be accurate, but just to create news for deflection or strategic purposes.

I'll approach with more respect in future, which is merited, but there will always seemingly be an edge of 'they don't 100% know either' type vibes. CHO, Fullkrug, Saelmaekers?, Eric Bailly, and even Jota (who's representatives got shown around Fulham's ground apparently this summer) all haven't come to fruition or true.. I'm surprised Jota didn't come through, wonder if they've got any insights as to why?

But I will happily acknowledge I was perhaps a bit harsh and for that I apologise.

I'm pretty sure FFN does have some connections inside the club but everything they report on their twitter is aggregating from other sources and very rarely will they report anything on their own.

The club is pretty airtight and they don't really seem to care about briefing for PR like Chelsea do with Romano and Ornstein.

Hmm, I don't see the club as airtight, often over the years we've seen stories get updated often by journalists on the progress being made in deals or the ebb and flows between them... Manor Solomon, Justin Kluivert are two examples of transfer sagas that just seemed to go on and on and had a relatively decent amount of detail out there.

Obviously I appreciate journalists may have sources at other clubs, or agents, but it's not exactly airtight and often the news cites us as being active/interested/making moves or not... and in fairness does use some sources from other clubs, but it's not exclusively other clubs.

I feel if agents are involved, for it to be airtight the club would have to enter agreements for agents not to enter into any conversations, and the other clubs to not do so either, which clearly doesn't happen.

Even Cuenca, who was the closest to come out of the blue managed to get leaked by Romano.

Out of interest, what happened to this link? He played for Benfica tonight and we're in the market for a CB.. any chance of it being dead in the water/never having been a thing, or being rekindled?

I wonder what happens to Kevin Mbabu this window

I for one don't mind wild speculation or even fake insiders on this board. Just part of the game. I put zero stake in almost anything until it hits the offal.

Doubtful if we sign Cuenca.

Bayern Munich have rejected Manchester United's joint bid for Netherlands centre-half Matthijs de Ligt, 24, and 26-year-old Morocco full-back Noussair Mazraoui. From BBC

Could probably do with Man Utd agreeing incoming deals for McTominay to be sold. At the moment, looks like they are holding out for more money so they can spend more. Domino's.

Yeah won't happen now we have Cuenca as both left. No idea how good Cuenca is but a shame if he's not excellent as I thought Morato looked a bit of a beast. Made one mistake with a bad pass under pressure but generally a very good passer. Very physical and good in the air. Prob £20 to £25m however and Cuenca was circa £5m so a huge difference in price and Bassey is quality of course so prob better that money is saved for elsewhere. Who knows...Cuenca may be very good as well.

Yeah, I think that Cuenca might have been a catalyst in that his relatively low fee is opening up funds to get the other deals done.

A year of chasing this guy and it's finally coming to an end

Cuenca is a decent signing especially considering the fee.

However he is unfortunately a little slow on the turn and lacks genuine pace which will be exposed in the raw jungle of the English Premier League.

This results in the player giving away a lot of fouls to prevent opponents getting away from him.
If that is the case then Marco will be aware of that.
Which begs the question is he being brought in as a squad player, as Marco targets Morata who does look the real deal as first choice.
