he's old isn't he, so how hold as really rated him at arsenal.

I'd say that's the standard/minimum expectation, only surprise is that it's taken so long

Defintely the bare minimum since we've only spent about £30ish million so far, based on the fact we're interested in 3 key positions you're probably looking at £65m plus before any other players that we might take a punt on (and the obligatory two loans we take every year which will come with fees & wages)

@DM - any names not currently known to us that you've heard?

McBrideOfFrankenstein

Its unlikely but I would take a Willian-esque flyer on Sanchez if the price was right. Marco has proved very capable at getting the best out of older players.

Any actual detail on that?

Considering we've been linked with Mctominay and André, both of whom have been valued between 20-30 million, I'd have thought £60m would've been obvious and the bare minimum..

Any idea of who, including the two mentioned we're linked with? Can give vague identifying details, not the exact names (I.e., positions, type of player in terms of style, leagues etc), I assume we're at this point working multiple possibilities.

Feel like you've dangled a carrot, but not given much more than can be gathered.

The two weeks is promising, though the league opener is in 10 days (we'll 9 tomorrow) and we need players in ASAP.
Other options to André are being looked at although we will wait till late to make that decision.
Another McTominay bid is imminent
Fulham also remain confident on Chalobah but again it will be late as he wants a club in Europe.

At this stage I don't see Fulham adding before Utd.
Best bet is Scott McTominay.

C Block

No way will they sell us McTominay before we play them.

Andre, McT and Chalobah prob at least £75m I'd say. I was expecting us to spend £100m to £120m so that or something like that would make sense.

I think we have the squad we have for August & Marco has had a good, European based low travelling pre-season, to prepare for the 9-points available to 31st August.

There is then an international break when he can integrate the usual shopping 🛒 dash arrivals before West Ham on 14th September.

End of the day we have won games last year with Diop, Reed and Lukic in the team and we have added absolute class in ESR and a fit Adama to that. Although it is frustrating as hell and not ideal at all not to get at least an RCB and DM in earlier we are not in a terrible place. Marco on interview didn't seem upset with the situation from what I could make out although was an interview with FFC TV directly so perhaps less likely to moan. He's been very vocal of course other years so the Nan U press conference May be a better tell.

If Diop, Lukic or Reed get injured we did again do okay with Bassey at RCB and Cairney or Andreas (as last night) could drop in there.

All not ideal at all then but if we the waiting game is truly saving us money or perhaps a big sell on percentage probably has to be done as much as we all hate it.

Andre will need time to adapt so even if we get him end of August it could be a few months before really up and running although he is match fit of course. We must still be going for him or there would surely be more movement with other options. Fluminese really are in huge financial trouble looking at this:

Surely then they will crack at some point if no one else comes in.

I'd eat my hat if this happened but it would be unreal;

Edit: Pulling out the Fulham piece of this article, which suggests that a prominent Italian agent has been contacted by us to find a left winger (maybe indicating we don't see ESR as a winger after all if this is up to date info?)

Juventus and the Premier League . These are two "worlds" that could become closer this August. The Bianconeri need to sell to finance the last important purchases and the main English league could satisfy the Madama 's requests for players who no longer fit into her plans. To understand what kind of scenarios could allow Juventus' surplus to the Premier League , Bianconera News interviewed David Lavelle , one of the best FIFA  agents around. Thanks to his excellent contacts with the management of the Old Lady and the Premier League , we have finally clarified several situations regarding Juventus players with a possible future in England. In particular, there are three players who could leave the Bianconeri. To find out who they are and when they could leave, we offer the EXCLUSIVE interview  below .

Are there any links to watch Federico Chiesa in the Premier League ? Is there a chance for him to play in England?

" He is a very, very good player. There is definitely a chance. I spoke to Cristiano (Giuntoli, ed.). I think he could find a chance at a couple of Premier League clubs and I can say that we have some requests for a left winger from Fulham , who would be willing to pay, and from West Ham . But it is tough. It will be very tough to convince him ."

He wants 150k week and Euro football so we will be a tough sell.  As per Dean Jones

DM states above that another bid is forthcoming whereas Sky saying we have walked away from McTominay. So much for his inside information.

Silly season back with a bang!  :slap:

ElRay

I hope we can get McTominay done. I actually think him & Lukic would form a solid partnership

Caedal

Sky are saying we've ended our interest in McTominay and are looking elsewhere. Valuation gap too great

SerbianLad

I could only see Chiesa coming if Andreas is leaving, but even then it would be extremely unrealistic.

Really hope this is true. I don't want a player too disappointing for a top team to drop down to 'his level'. At £30 mil no less. I'd prefer to see us gamble on someone going the other way, like we did with Dembele and Palhinha.
