Jeeez 30mil seems a bit much

Going rate for decent PL defender - and he's what we need

Yup, paired with Bassey who was our more speculative buy outside the prem along with cuenca too and we have a great blend of youth and experience back there. Andersen is just the experienced head and leader we could do with in defence. A big step up on Tosin anyway!  (whos just been omitted from Chelseas Europa squad by the way...oops)

So with him and Berge in, how many more do people think we will get?  I think 2. DM and Winger.

Marco said just an attacker on top of those 2.... But with a week and a half still to go maybe there might be another in the chamber well see soon!

Absolutely fantastic signing. Delighted Joa will be coming back. Never thought We'd be signing him and ESR this summer, good coups for us.

With Berge and Andersen, maybe the club will try some loan options on deadline day.

Ecstatic also! Joachim was always the one that got away for me. Was one of the biggest reasons I was gutted we got relegated not keeping him. Now him Berge and ESR as the spine could be really good in terms of passing and advancing up the pitch... Loving how were shaping up!

I think we'll get an attacking player Marco requested on a full transfer too. Then, anything on top of that would be loans.

Yup, 1 more quality winger who can play through the middle would be awesome. Asprilla or wesley?

Wonder if itll be a high profile or young up and coming move, suspect the latter but looking forward to seeing what we have up our sleeve! Loan with option on any such deal could be ideal I guess.

No wonder marco seemed so confident when asked about it all

Get in!!!! Thought we would never see him in a Fulham shirt again when the cardigan somehow got us relegated. He was absolutely class for us. Still looked brilliant for Palace the other day pinging balls all over the place and playing like a midfielder at points. Just automatically makes us much better and the best option of all those discussed for me. The perfect Bassey partner. Yes expensive and yes no resale but never relied on pace and if we get 5 brilliant years out of him I'm all in.

Andersen + Berge = a million times better progressing the ball up the pitch.

It probably won't happen but get André now and my life is complete.

Depending on how this evening's Copa Libertadores game goes, would be intrigued to see if we suddenly go back in for Andre if Flu get knocked out. I said it a few pages ago but Depay is still available on a free if we wanted a stopgap LW/Striker option to get us through a year or so whilst we spend big on long term CM options

Drewry66

Really thought we'd have to go to £30 + £5 as well for him. Good work by the club securing £30m all in. I did say/think that I bet Palace are much more keen to offload him as last chance of big sale. They'll sell Guehi next year still for very good money.

I tell you what Depay would suit this team so much. Would love to see something like that happen.

I don't think either one is a poor player, epsecially Andersen, but I do feel both are somewhat overrated and we definitely overpaid for them, in my opinion. For that kind of money I'd hope we'd get even better players, but hopefuly both will work out and the positive thing is that they'll adapt pretty quickly probably, as they have a lot of experience playing in England.

LC

Happy that Andersen is joining, good business by the club. However, the central midfield position is vital to our season, so I'm hoping a top midfielder follows soon.

No one can deny that the owners are 100% committed following this transfer.

Oh man if Depay joined we'd actually be a serious contender for Europe.

If we go back for him watch us say it's now £15m take it or leave it. Sounds like they have to sell to pay wages. Delay is interesting but likely crazy wages. Other option may be a loan with an option or obligation next year for a left winger. Really getting pretty exciting if we can make another top signing or two.

If we get another cm/dm in I think we'll sell Reed. He's seemingly further down the pecking order than Andreas, Lukic and Cairney (+Berge and the new cm/dm if we get him). On top of that we'd probably be able to get more money from him than from Lukic or Cairney. Cairney is too old to attract a bigger fee and with Reed being homegrown we could pro get more money from PL clubs than we can for Lukic, and Italian or Spanish clubs who'd probably be interested in Lukic don't pay nearly as much as PL clubs.

I'd say it's a different market this year mate. Everyone seems to be £10 million more than the last few years. It's crazy.
