Nelson is 24 and has hardly played for 2 years and they want 20 million ridiculous
ESR is injury prone and they want 30 million ridiculous I would pay tops 10 million or try and loan him for a season
Tierney is made of glass no thanks

Generally Because they might not be good enough to win a title or start over players like saka/martinelli etc. but could easily contribute to a mid- top 10 team.may even suit them more being a bigger fish in a smaller pond.

ESR is a top top talent kept out by oodergard and martinelli, there's no world in which he's available for 10m... 20-25 wouldn't suprise me. He's got champions league level potential and been a while since his injuries.

Tierneys the one I'd be least enthusiastic about and we don't really need him.

Nketiah it hasn't worked out for really. I wouldn't want to see us pay more than 15-18m for him personally but was mightily impressive at international youth level so they'll be hoping for far more and naturally English strikers comes at a premium, there's something in there that could perhaps be coached but id only take him on a loan to buy if it were up to me.

Nelson an interesting one, he's got talent but again needs some regular football and a new start.

We have a record as it goes of rejuvenating players who've been written off at other clubs. So no reason some of these couldn't do the same here.

Why would we want to buy Arsenals rejects?

Boa Morte
Leno
Willian
Iwobi

That's why 😁

JackHamlet90

Players I would like to see join us this summer

Eddie Nketiah
Andre
Teden Mengi

All 3 are of a good age aswell
Would be smart additions in key areas

Very that

Also see Newcastle rejects Saha and Mitrovic
Flamengo reject Muniz who was their third choice striker
City reject Tosin

Etc etc

Of the Arsenal links

Nelson is on 100k/week and not worth that

Nketiah is also on 100k/week and had plenty of chanes to prove himself in a squad that creates tons of chances for him

Tierney I don't really rate at all, only makes sense if Robinson leaves and if Robinson leaves we can do much better

ESR is one I would actually like to see at Fulham though his price tag and injury history are worrying

I'd also, personaly, only take ESR out of those players. He did have a lot of injuries, but in the past I thought there were parts of the season in which he was Arsenal's best player. I am sure Marco would get the best out of him amd he would be a real asset, providing he stayed fit. If the deal was right for all parties I'd definitely take him.

Yeah ESR is the one I'd be really excited about. His record 3 seasons ago was brilliant and he looked quality before the injuries. Just what we need as a 10 who can actually score and he plays left as well. I'd go £25 million for him if the medical team are confident.

Nelson is a bit of an unknown to be fair.

I think there is a player in Nketiah. Everyone looks at goals per game but that is ridiculous since in 80% of he's played 10 mins. He has 19 goals and 5 assists in 45 games of actual playing time in the prem which as a bit part player is incredibly good. Yes he plays for a team that creates a lot but flip side if he was the man with the right manager could be very good. Sounds like Raul is staying anyway and £30 million is too much so prob not happening but if we could pick him him for £20 to £25 I'd be tempted with that prem record.

I'd expect him or Nelson to take a pay cut for playing time and if not agree £100k in wages on top of fee is too much so fair enough.  Although having said that Raul is on £100k I believe so if he were to go Nketiah could be an upgrade for a similar salary.

As hinted before this suggests Andre deal was set up Jan if Joao went:

Still find this a little strange as he's just a different player. Very similar to Reed but a lot better in the ball. He's not a tackler! I'd be excited to get him with the potential he has but really hope someone like Luis too who is a more direct replacement. If not Sasa has a massive job next year as essentially he will fill Joaos role with either Reed or Andre. He did it well this year and really come on but would love another option as well.

Interest in Sasa too but can't see us selling if Joao goes:

Boa Morte was at Southampton
Leno wasn't a reject and wasn't a ridiculous price
Willian was a free transfer and he ripped his 300,000 a week contract up when at Arsenal to go to Brazil
Iwobi was at Everton who paid 30 million for him.
These are not Arsenal rejects Ridiculous counter argument.  The player I would sign is ESR for no more than 10 Million he is not world class and that saying is band around way too much on average players.

silva paid 33 mill for iwobi which was far too much money infact it was overvalued we paid 22 mill which was a bit expensive for a player who end product usually is low this season will tell if we overpaid for him he scored the season just ended his most goals for wait till the end of this coming season to see what he is worth I noticed Nigeria were not that impressed last season.

I've seen enough to be more than happy with the Iwobi transfer

Had some quieter games here and there but performed well for us particularly when played in more advanced positions, frequently contributed in a big way linking up our attacking play.
Less fussed on him in the deeper CM role is the only thing for me

But all in all perfectly happy with him as a core squad member

Somerset Fulham

I see that this thread has become perfectly normal and rational then.

Would like to see Balo Toure signed as looks great standard.

Every player has periods where they're not performing well. Look at Haaland as an example, there were plenty of games this season where he didn't perform and was shut out by defenders. Doesn't matter your price tag, every player will have good and bad patches.

Agreed but why would he would be the question, barely got any game time here and he should to be starting somewhere tbh. The fact his loan ended and there's been no further news or rumour there seems like it's not in the plans. Shame, most of us felt his cameos were great.

Think Andreas if he moves on we have cover ,Iwobi,TC and I'm sure we will add to those 2 as well .

Andreas shines for Fulham and gets away with being greedy at times. If he moves to a bigger club like when at United he is just another cog in the wheel.  Stay put and be a star.

it's certainly easier to stand out for us and he's important to Silva.

filham

Surely he needs to add goals to his game to attract other clubs.
