Quote from: Tabby on July 17, 2025, 10:02:12 AMBakayoko has now signed for Leipzig after being on the verge to sign for Brentford, Forest and Bournemouth on here in reference to our lack of movement. Not just us that get rumours that go nowhere.

Let's hope Leipzig don't win the battle with us on the striker position!  ::smile::

Fair play to the club for getting him extended

Barely played but looked quality every time he did? Should have had an assist against West Ham after turning Wan Bisakka inside out but Adama missed. Was brilliant against Brentford second to last game. Looked dangerous in every little cameo.

irish_mike

If we extend Muniz presume that will end interest in Romulo?

Yeah just reading that. Zinchenko as well:

"While talking with AFC Fulham have also had discussions about Zinchenko & Viera. The formers wage demands are currently too high & the latter there have only been preliminary talks."

Apparently Viera only on £25k a week. Feels like he's been around forever but only just turned 25!

On loan at Porto last year. Did get 5 goals and 6 assists. Played half the games at 8 and half at 10 so covers either position. Supposedly no future at Arsenal. Very creative and good passer looking at the stats and from what I remember but sounds like he has lost his way a bit. Marco regen project? Could be an exciting one:

Anyone else from Arsenal while we're at it.

Don't mind any of these players, but would be pretty funny if we added three to Iwobi, Leno, ESR
Iwobi was an Everton player, we didn't get him from Arsenal.
Story of my life

Sadly she wasn't

No we want a third striker mate. He would be to replace Vinicius

Replace vinicius, but also improve on what we have, or at the very least compete aggressively for that spot with Jimenez and Muniz.

Would have no complaints signing any of the Arsenal players mentioned.

Defo. Challenge this year and be good enough to let Raul leave next year. At likely over £20m that would be the hope with Romulo you'd imagine and certainly a massive upgrade on Vinicius.

Yeah mad isn't it. Thing is they all make sense for both parties and the players.

 :slap:

We clearly have a good relationship with them. Will become a bit of a laughing stock of Arsenal rejects team but if they win us a tonne of matches who gives a F?  ::smile::

Suspect it's all a Truman show type ploy to make ESR feel at home

Yeah, I mean it seems perfectly reasonable to spend tens of millions to help ESR "feel at home".

We might have to change our name to The Woolwich Fulham?

Was just playing around on the theme of having a lot of ex Arsenal players. Ofc not serious that the club would recreate a parallel world like the movie...

Nelson played really well alongside ESR and did bring the best out of him.

@alfie Iwobi was an Arsenal 'Hale Ender', like Nelson and ESR.

Imagine a front line of Oxlaide-Chamberlin - Callum Wilson - Reiss Nelson

Quote from: DM on July 17, 2025, 09:47:07 AMKing done ✅ Muniz next ⏳

Is the tactic to renew contracts first before bringing new players?

Seems it might well be sensible to know who's committing to the project 100% before confirming final target pushes and budget allocation to all positions. If king didnt commit I wonder if they'd push more spend power towards CAM competition who knows.

Regardless would be delighted with new deals  for Tete, king,Luc DF and Muniz. A shame to lose osmand and maybe Seth but those guys most important first and foremost

Yeah if we didn't have these renewals we'd have to spend more this summer. If King becomes amazing then it's like a new signing.

Angus Telford

Good news on King.

Not remotely enamoured by Viera. Want any signing to be at least one, if not two of (1) cheap, (2) quality and (3) young. Not sure he's any.

Hope renewals on fringe players like King, TC and LDF aren't the reason our real business hasn't happened yet.

Bronaldinho

Fabio Vieira under Silva would be very, very good. He needs to bulk up a bit - but he's a younger Cairney in terms of playstyle, especially as he can play RW, 10 or CM.

Such a cultured footballer, wonderful left foot and glides with the ball when confident.
