Maybe Muniz referring to Andreas staying? Maybe hopeful thinking from Andreas? Who knows anymore. I don't think player tweets/IG stories are particularly reliable to be honest.

FFC1987

Now for the important question....what does this mean for Mitrovic if Muniz signs a new deal?  :Khan_you_fix_it:

Turns out the translation is completely different in Portuguese hahahab

Quote from: The Little Dave on August 13, 2025, 02:15:16 PMHonestly, Jack Kelly is out of his depth if he's reporting Muniz saying goodbyes before a fee and not willing to share a source. That's a massive lead. He's trying to get stuck in as a journalist but will soon learn posting stuff like that and less than an hour later posting an article that he isn't leaving and the AP story will hurt his credibility long term.

Jack Kelly is extremely careful when talking about behind the scenes stuff.

If you're reading into the AP stuff, he's recreating a meme of when Pique tweeted the same thing about Neymar just before Neymar left...

Andreas posting that. This saga is mental. If he does stay he better bang in 15 goals minimum after all this.

The Evening Standard just reported he is staying, bid rejected and no on going direct Club to Club discussions. This is his agent stirring the sh7t. We could of course stop all this by agreeing a new long term deal for him and a pay rise.
Quark, strangeness and charm

We must have Taremi plus one lined up if we're at this stage. Hopefully a massive fee is reinvested into Kevin and another striker and we use what was our existing ~£35m budget to buy a quality #8 and winger (I assume it'll sort Nelson/Sterling out)

Agree with you. He's 24 now not the 'kid' sent to Boro. Somebody mentioned on here he only started in 8 Prem games...just checked and that's spot on. So he's entitled to feel moving on may ensure he's a starter etc..Now either this is a hoax (unlikely) or FFC have a ready made replacement. Precedent with Palhinha here - Muniz can't go this close to the start without FFC completing a deal for better (Romulo for me)

Feel irs quire a big step for a player to say goodbyes before a bid has even been accepted.

£30+ million for Muniz is too little imo. He scored against all the big clubs last season, the goals he scores are high quality. The way he scored against Liverpool, the last minute Chelsea goal.

We really need nearer to £50m for him. Can imagine Marco will be disappointed losing him this close to the season.

Feel Muniz should've been given much more game time and a better contract a while back, would've completely changed the context of this whole situation.

Quote from: demeant0r on August 13, 2025, 01:04:11 PMSadly I think, due to PSR and other rules, every club has to make at least one large sale every season to be able to continually invest. It's a pity that it had to be Muniz.

Yes, exactly what the Fulham podcast which someone recently uploaded explained. Unfortunately that's the stark reality for any team outside the Top 6. And even then, teams like Chelsea will more often sell to buy.

Quote from: Neutral Zone Ultra on August 13, 2025, 02:06:43 PMPlot twist??!! Andreas Pereira has just uploaded a selfie on Instagram with Muniz with the caption "Se queda" - he stays

Great if the case, and maybe a sign of a new contract plus Muniz being happy here?

Maybe the atalanta boss going back to Italy was with the understanding Muniz simply isn't for sale.

In Spanish it does, Portuguese (which they both speak) is different.

Se Queda is "if you fall" apparently in Portuguese

It means he stays in Spanish but Portuguese se qeueda is not a saying

It's a bit like us saying qué Sera ...we speak English but we use a common phrase from another country

Se cair would be " if you fall " in Portuguese
Google translate is wrong

Also ...he posts a black and white emoji along with it. He's saying he's staying

No, I speak some Portuguese and nearly moved to brasil. In addition to that Google also says it means he stays.

It's just a different way to say it. :)

Also zero chance AP looks that happy if his best mate was off surely?! Not to mention if he did do it to get our hopes up when he knows he's off he'd know that he'd get more abuse from our fans than he has ever got so would be pretty stupid.

Muniz does look very happy as well in it. Just hope it means a new contract has been agreed and not just that we have told them no as then in a very strong position if he has a great season and big clubs come calling again.

So do I. And in addition to that type in Brazilian Portuguese to English translation of Se Queda and it says quite clearly that it means a reference to staying..

Lighthouse

It means both Periera and Muniz are leaving for Atlanta who was the daughter of Commander Shore in Stingray and also very fond of Troy Tempest, the aquanaut in Stingray and jealous of Marina who was mute.

Not sure why people keep reading things into statements that simply aren't there.

Anything can happen in the next half hour.

The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope
