Yeah but who'd want to be in a footballer?

Pepi talks seem to have his an impasse. This would suggest we are unable to bid more rather than we dont want to. I dont care if we get Pepi or not anyway we are grand till summer once muniz is fit again

Just looks like negotiating hard as always. We've already offered a good fee here, and such haggling with our transfers is what facilitates ability to make such moves when the time comes and avoids ffp dramas. Well have a max we value the player at, let's see how it goes. Still think it happens personally.

"Incapable to make final effort" is very strange phraseology.

A cynic would say it sums us up as a football club.
More likely we don't won't the piss taken out of us.

As in, there's Norway you're beating us today.

If that happens - then, if his preference is London and the Fulham rumours are true, then it may sweeten the deal enough to get him to join us and take a pay cut to get playing again?

He could do for us what Willian and Raul have, which is rejuvenate their career and find their love for the game again with us!

I know some on here seem to hate the idea, but if Marco worked his wonders on Raheem and we got a couple of years out of him playing anywhere near his best, then we'd be very lucky.

Even if our priorities were to have him as an option and develop the younger players we will/may have in Bobb, Kevin, Muniz etc.

I think West Ham will avoid relegation anyway, unfortunately.

We have Spurs to thank for that screw up.

I'd most like West Ham, then Forest, Spurs and Palace in that order.

Much as usually I can't stand Leeds, I'd rather it was one of the other 2.

For me, West Ham, then Spurs, then Forest, Leeds, Palace.
For me, Chelsea, then Chelsea, then Chelsea.  Oh the joy that would bring.

But then we'd miss out on the joy of beating them...

I'm hoping Spurs go down as that marks a huge shift away from a 'Big 6' mentality where those clubs always seem immune from relegation (e.g. if they have a 'poor' season they then sign up the best players from the non Big 6 teams that have done well). They were lucky the bottom 3 were so poor last year and they fluked a Champions League spot via an easy route to the Europa League final but I'd love to see them involved in a real relegation scrap. Hoping they lose their next 5 league games.

I'd love Spurs to get relegated. Would love it!!

Regarding Pepi, this seems a common theme in our deals (and failed deals) - we start off quite a long way under and incrementally raise it til close and then there's some brinkmanship when the valuation is close. No idea if it's a strategy or just a firm belief in a player valuation and not budging.

Something like this happened with Andre and Hudson Odoi. But also with ESR, Leno, Diop and other successful deals.

Adama officially gone. I wish him all the best and thank him for everything he's done for Fulham. Very underrated and underappreciated player for us, who came up with many important moments for us, but was always disrespected by a large part of the fanbase. I hope he smashes it at Wesr Ham, apart from when they play Fulham obviously.

Adama gone, club have confirmed it as undisclosed fee

Quite a short highlight reel, will always have him to thank for that Old Trafford run. His cross v Forest didn't make it on but was superb, and he set up late winner away at Southampton last season too.

Not a player that ever seemed to arrive here truly, it was very much just a case of another club and doing a job.

I have a massive pet peeve with highlights showing one angle and deciding to suddenly change just before the strike, drives me a bit crazy.

I agree, there are some good moments from him that weren't included and should have been.

I also somewhat agree with the second part. There was a time last season where he managed to string a run of games in which he started, but apart from that one period, he struggled to get consistent starts (and performances), due to injuries, form and other factors.

Still, I think that he's been an important part of our recent success and I for one wish him all the best in the future. From behind the scenes videos on social media, he seemed like a very nice guy and a popular player in the dressing room, too.

He's always going to carry around the lack-of-end-product tag, unfortunately, and in recent months he hasn't even been as good as that. He needs a fresh start. He's been good in patches for us but never made the starting role his own. Between Chuk and hopefully Bobb, it's a pretty decent upgrade.

His performance seemed to go when he started growing his hair.

Lack of end product is a bit of a fallacy: since the beginning of last season he got more assists than anyone at the whole club apart from Jedi. His crossing with both feet was actually very decent: his curling cross with his weaker left foot after cutting inside vastly underrated and very dangerous.

More accurate to say would be he was a terrible finisher, but if he could score then he'd likely have spent a lot of his career playing at a top club.

Definitely an effective player (when fit) in his first 2 seasons, his form definitely dropped off this season for whatever reason. When his tail was up he was a frightening prospect to play against. My main gripe with him was his off the ball work rate but now it not the time to dig him out. He did a good job for us and I wish him well (apart form against us).
