Bassey the warrior

I hear Brentford are interested in Jobe Bellingham. He looks similar to his brother on YouTube, has anyone seen him play this season? Could he play the number 8 role?

Taking a look through their forums he seemed a hot prospect last I checked but has been a mixed bag of late. style of play is referred to as lethargic a lot more recently. People saying though that's less been his fault and more the club not knowing where to play him and him being moved all over the park too much (a bit like Iwobi for us)

I gather many say he's better in a deeper role and think he'd be best off playing "box to box". A bit like Lukic. So one alongside Palhinha perhaps.

Still only 18 so a lot of room for potential improvement and could really push on under a great manager so there's scope there. Might be good for him to learn under Cairney and Periera too and push on his CAM skills. Would be significantly cheaper than someone like Smith Rowe but EMS currently the better prospect

£40 Million for Summerville, do me a favour, decent young player but nowhere near that value

Craven Mad

Apparently Spurs are open to offers for Richarlison.

Personality aside, that's a player who could make a difference for us (and has worked with Marco successfully before)...

Jims Dentist

Can't stand Richarlison, similar to his fellow countyman Anthony at Man U, far too petulant.
Somerville looked great in Championship, but is incredibly one footed.

I appreciate you said apparently, but whats the actual source as skysports were reported as saying Ange firmly wants Richarlison next season.....

Is there going to be any significant moves before the Euros finish, I suspect clubs spending multi millions of pounds may wish to take a look at their targets performing against top class opposition.

Stan the Man

Whilst Richarlison would definitely be an upgrade for us, he's far too much of Big -Time Charlie to play for us, and Spurs would want silly money for him and his wages would be astronomical.

FFC007

Yaser Asprilla... left footed winger should be on the radar.

Young, high potential and already has three years in England so will be classed as home grown nation.

Summerville is too expensive if the £40m figure banded around is true.

Bellingham would be a great addition to beef the midfield, good box to box midfielder with a creative edge.

Ryan Sessegnon I would welcome back, a free transfer and again home grown.

Agreed - it's silly season for a reason!

Today's source, if helpful (obviously not claiming it's true): https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-richarlison-transfer-news-b1161021.html

Quote from: Craven Mad on May 30, 2024, 05:22:59 PMSummerville would obviously be great (although his one-footedness always concerned me) but I very much doubt we'd pay that much and it doesn't feel like the sort of thing we'd do.

If we do have £40m to splash, I think we could get better value across a few positions, rather than go all-in on a single position.
may like but at that price we cant afford

How does anyone, on this chat forum, know how much FFC can spend (in any given season) ?
We have a very rich owner and there are many ways which accountants can 'manipulate' figures!

Somerset Fulham

United and Chelsea have apparently both been knocked back by Michael Olisé.

Absolutely. Maybe don't tell Forest or Everton though as it'll give the game away!

No one really knows exactly but you can get a pretty good rough estimate of what we can spend under FFP based on our financial statements as well as projected revenues which are not too difficult to figure out. However, it is never as easy as "Fulham has an 80m war chest" because of how amortisation of transfer fees works combined with wages which can make a big difference.

We have head room for around 25-30m in wages plus amortisation. Depending on how that is divided up it could be 300k/week wages and 75m in transfer fees or 100k/week wages and 125m transfers fees, etc. And some of that will depend on what Willian does since he is on around 100k/week.

Hmm, hope I'm wrong in my interpretation of response...

But, I read this and think "sarcasm is the lowest form of wit".

St Eve

I can't see any downside on taking Sess on a free as long as salary demands are reasonable

At least you're thinking. Progress of a kind.  :slap:

I would love us to be in palaces position players at the right age worth a lot of money while we go round the old people's homes paying top dollar for players on decline.1 as

I can, he's simply not good enough.
