🤷♂️

Andre seems to be Fluminense's messiah even though they are bottom of the league.

Actually, in previous seasons they've finished between 3-7 but they're bottom this season. What's happening?

Bad start to the season, Andre returning from injury only just played his first game back and he's been a key part of their system there and how they play

Dirk Lehman? Had a tash I think?

Guy goes into the doctor's.
"Doc, I've got a cricket ball stuck up my backside
"How's that?"
"Don't you start"

That's actually a really good sign for us if one man can literally carry them from bottom to top 7.

Read recently Westham agreed £25m for Nelson with Arsenal. Personally I can see why they are looking for £30m + for Smith-Rowe as he is a far better footballer. If we are looking to pay between £30-£35m then we will have got the better deal.

Wakey! Wakey!

In just four weeks time we should be sending a fit and well blended team of quality players to Manchester to play United in the opening match of the season

We have lost Palhinha, Tosin and BDR, are we not running late with incoming players.

Really looks like we're going to be cutting it fine.  Many PL clubs have already been doing business whilst we sit quietly looking to save a few million quid.

Would've been nice to see Joao and Andre together.

They all at some stage sported a Moustache playing for Fulham.
If memory serves me right Alan Slough - John Conway - Jimmy Dunne - Dave Moreline - Malcolm Webster - Alan Pinkney - Viv Busby - Cliff Jones - Kevin Lock - Gary Peters - Peter O'Sullivan

In my head Robbie Herrera had a moustache but now I'm not so sure

So you'd have paid the original asking prices of £40m for ESR, £30m for McTominay etc.? The difference between what we will likely pay in sensible fees for ESR and others will probably then give us space to buy another player like Bruun Larsen so just caving straight away and paying quoted prices will stop up being able to afford other players we need. We know at this point we mostly need quality in key positions so need to try and get the best deals possible so we have wiggle room for the squad fillers who will come along as well

No, not necessarily.  But I'd be much more swift with our negotiations to try and get deals sorted so our main signings are in place 3-4 weeks before the season.

And how do you control that then? If we say to Arsenal we'll pay a fairly reasonable fee of £30m for our top target ESR based on the fact he's barely played for a few years and has an injury history, and they're obstinate and won't accept less than £40m until maybe early August when they suddenly want to buy someone and can't get rid of ESR to fund it, what are you gonna do? We can slowly work our way down our priority list for 2nd/3rd choice but if Marco is insistent he wants ESR as our starting LW/#10 then it suddenly isn't something the club can control, unless they tell him they're going to buy someone else to get bodies in early, but then you know you've got a manager upset he's not got his top target?

How exactly would you be more swift as you put it ? Presumably by paying the asking price. If the club actually wants to sell, the nearer they get to deadline day without achieving their sky high price the greater the pressure will be on them to reduce their price. You can't speed that process up.

Milenkovic who we were very briefly linked with(it said in that article that Forest are thr frontrunners) has gone to Forest for 12 million pounds. Would have been a good RCB option in my opinion, especially at that price.

I still think that RCB is our number 1 priority and hopefuly we'll get someone soon.

Andre, ESR, a new RCB and a backup LB(I'd try to get FBT back if he's interested) and I think we'll be okay, providing no one else leaves.

You'd think Marco would be all over this given our Serbian connections
