The training video looks hopeful. The guy in the red and black spotted top looks like he knows where the goal is.

Will $25 get it through!  ::wink::

City have completed the permanent signing of exciting young goalkeeper George Wickens on a four-year deal. City will pay Premier League side Fulham compensation for the 22-year-old.

Wickens went out on loan twice during his time at the Cottagers, gaining valuable first-team experience at National League Wealdstone and Scottish Premiership side Ross County.

Wickens also has an international cap under his belt having been called up to the Three Lions' U18 squad in 2019.

He said: "I'm absolutely buzzing. Lincoln City feels like the right place for me at the next stage of my development.

"You only need to look at the track record of the young goalkeepers the club have brought through in the past few years and how well they've gone on to do.

"A big reason for that is the trust that has been put in them. It's a massive thing to have the club behind you because it breeds confidence and that's how you get the best out of a player."

£19.3m sounds like cracking value for such a young player.

Just read all the detail and comments. The guy seems pretty convinced that plenty are interested in him but that Fulham are pushing and are the most advanced saying Marco Silva is the one really pushing for it. Says it will take 35 million euros so just under £30 million. This one would be one of the most exciting ones I think after his performances for Columbia. Looks very physical and a brilliant ball carrier. Big risk if it's £30 million however as only really come good the last season after a late start.

Strangely the fans all seem to think he will be ruined by the prem and should go to Spain or Italy as the prem will somehow stifle his flair? Reporter advised Marco Silva won't. They also thought he should be going to a bigger club so they all seem to rate him very highly. Interesting one this.

Sorry to be cynical but if you're 22 and going to a League One club you're unlikely to be making it in the Premier League.

Another deep lying ball playing DM who isnt an enforcer, wonder if this is an alternative to Scott/Andre or we are looking for 2 alongside eachother there. Alot of players in that Lukic/Reed wheelhouse though.

We played Neil Etheridge several times and he was released to Oldham at 24 years old. Was a regular PL goalkeeper for a bit.

I reckon we are going for two as double pivot to do the job Joao did as one. Need two if that is our system as only have Reed and Lukic that can play that so have to have four for competition and in case of injuries. Neither are massive tacklers but both can play DM and look like they are as much about pressures and interceptions. Rios looks like as much an 8 as a 6. They are both brilliant ball carriers with Ríos s stats even better than Andre s. Ríos was a Futsol player until 20 so all about carrying and skills by the looks of it. Andre s passing is a lot better. I think as a pair they could be brilliant as a double pivot. With their ability on the ball we would be so press resistant. Stupid getting excited about the idea with these frigging rumours however.

That's two exceptions out of hundreds. Hence why I said 'unlikely'.

Someone else posted this earlier but has since withdrawn it. Maybe the source is unreliable.

Emmanuel Latte-Lath. £7 million. As the previous poster remarked: Out of the blue, this one.

If there's any truth in it, he could be a decent back-up who might even give Muniz and Jimenez a run for their money for a place in the starting XI.

That "source" has 3 followers and looks like to be b.s. Which is why id imagine it was removed before.

Can add this loose peice to that pile

Sounds like very loose nothing burger from a nobody source though, nothing remotely of substance in the article

And according to the Sunday Mirror paper edition, we and Everton are trying to sign Kalvin Phillips.

So thats what, 5 central midfielders who operate in a slightly deeper and more defensive role that we are currently linked with?

André, Souza, McT, Rios and Phillips.
