My tuppence worth, ESR will be at Motspur Park today to start his medical, completed tomorrow and on the plane to Portugal 🇵🇹 on Tuesday
👍🏻

ElRay

We'll probably let him fly home with Arsenal next week when the US Tour ends. Hopefully the money we save on a flight gets Andre over the line lol

It's a prediction that's inaccurate.

ESR was at the Arsenal vs Man Utd game that was played last night. Videos are circulating of it on twitter. He didn't start or play and wasn't in the match day squad. One fan in a video says good luck and ESR replies with an acknowledgement and slight smile, but he's still with them.

As mentioned...

This was taken last night US time and early morning UK time today.

Will be interesting to see if he arrives in Philadelphia with the rest of the Arsenal squad or if he'll be hopping on a different flight.
Either way it all seems to point to it still being on for now but imagine it'd make more sense just to fly him to Portugal and do it all there at this point. Either way, hopefully he shows up there next week.

Ben Brereton-Diaz apparently available for £7m. Could be a good squad rotation option for us for pretty cheap, although he may prefer guaranteed starts which we can't provide.

I thought he did quite well for Shef Utd, but he would hamper Stansfield's opportunities.

Southampton in for him.

I would love to see that happen, but I highly doubt it. Not sure the club would spend north of £20m for an ex academy graduate. Real shame.

Fabio not ruling out a move away from liverpool, ultimately just wants to play consistently.
So - if it meant selling Andreas Pereira to make way- would you try and bring him back and play ESR on the left?

At first I was well up for  it but more I think about it I'm not sold on the idea 100% . Just musing on a Sunday, interested what other people would make of it.

Sess was obviously a more feelgood return having signed and got us a good fee originally, + came back on a free , Imagine some might not be so keen on young Fabio but interested to hear peoples thoughts

I would 100% take him back.

It's important to remember that these guys were basically kids when they left, having to make major life decisions with very little real life experience. They will have been influenced heavily by people around them, who don't always have their best interests at heart, and certainly don't have the club's interests at heart. As a fan it was painful losing Fabio, and I always felt who would struggle to break into Liverpool's team, but he could have thrown his toys out the pram in January when it didn't go through, but he carried on giving it his all until we were champions.

I don't see Fabio coming back to us, or at least not this summer, but if it were to happen, both him and Sess would need to understand that they don't get to pick up where they left off, they are joining a competitive PL level squad and have to earn the right to play.

I like Fabio but I think for the sort of money it would take to get him back then I'd pass.

Also he's not exactly kicked on these last few years and I'd imagine Liverpool would push for either a big fee or a loan. I don't think either suits us unless we had a very generous option to buy in the loan.

Somerset Fulham

He probably has a higher ceiling but I don't think that Fab is as good as Andreas or ESR.

Would he come here and sit on the bench? Unlikely I suppose.

Ability / age wise i'd 100% take him back. Imagine the fee would be north of £20m so i'd say no solely on the principle of WE'D have effectively paid LIVERPOOL £20,000,000+ for THEM to loan him off us for 2 years and not play him.

Call me a small, petty man if you like but the above would really leave a bitter taste so i'll pass ;)
