" Fulham also enquired about the 35-year-old but could not afford his package"

Not sure I'd want a 35 walker

Still a very good player but if true I assume it would have been a stop gap for a year for a European push.

People didn't want Willian at the same age but that level of quality can have an impact and elevate you to that next step where you can then potentially sign better players from there

Quote from: SerbianLad on June 16, 2025, 04:35:58 PMAnd what if all three stay fit all season? Then one of them would be out of the squad every week. That's why the third striker we get would ideally be someone who's young with potential(so they wouldn't expect to play every single game) and also ideally, can play in different positions as well, so that they could get some more minutes by playing on the wing for example.

Or we could be ambitious and sign a striker that is an upgrade on the two we have. That's my preference. Easy said than done I know but why not ?
Then we shouldn't have extended Raul's contract.

Very Similar to the last 14 years. The Rich are getting Richer

Relax, that definitely only started in 2010 and will definitely change now

Jeroen

Santiago Gimenez Is allowed to leave AC Milan. I really liked him when at Feyenoord and could be picked up cheap(ish) they bought him at Euro 32M

Very good or not, can we stop being the place pensioners go to at the end of their career? Obviously exceptions would be someone like Ronaldo or Harry Kane.

Walker 3 years ago would've been handy, but considering his pace is the reason he's looked half decent in the last 5+ years because it helped cover up his defensive weaknesses, I'm not sure signing him when his legs have gone and he's lost a few yards is a sensible transfer. Absolutely peak Everton thing to do though

Silva likes Winks but Tonkey wants Phillips also we are looking at bringing in Rory Stewart

A lot of these aren't particularly inspiring if true

Just ignore him, he tends to go off on these tangents during windows making up rumours as he thinks it is hilarious.

I doub't we're looking at signing Rory Stewart.

More chance of signing Rod Stewart 🥸
At least we could go 'Sailing'

Still getting linked with Romulo. Seems that the strikers we've been linked with are of the "younger with potential that can play other positions as well" variety.
And that's exactly what we need now that Raul has extended his contract. There's no need to get a big name striker with both Raul and Muniz still here.
what if they both get injured we need a quality striker that is quick and can run in behind
What if we get a third striker for £80 million and all three get injured?

I'm on a free transfer if Marco wants to play me as their #9
Yes, but what if you get injured!
He'll play on - he's one tough son of a gun

I think Hilda is still considering terms on our renewed contract offer. She's holding out for the London living wage, drives a hard bargain, but makes a mean cuppa.

Don't think Walker would be the worst signing - would give us a good three at the back option for a season. Would give us some good flexibility.

wback100

Nunez now available at £40m. He'll go to Italy or Spain and be a big success, but I think he'd do really well with a team/club like ours.

He misses chances for Liverpool, but I absolutely could see him bagging loads for a team where there was less pressure and competition. Apart from a little composure, he really does have it all - speed, size, shot, can run the line on his own. Good player.

I think he'd do well in a less pressurised environment too.

Read somewhere before that he hits the woodwork alot. If he could adjust those fine margins it could be a decent signing

SerbianLad

To me it makes no sense whatsoever to spend 40m on a striker when we already have Muniz and Raul.

And certainly not Nunez, and don't even consider Richarlison.

Jim©

Why would we buy a striker who misses chance after chance after chance? We don't create a huge amount, would be a crazy signing imo (and he'd not likely come here anyway). Way better with the two we already have.

Richarlison is a much better option than Nunez. He can play on the wing too and also he worked with Marco previously at two clubs already.

i quite like Richarlison, i know we don't play a front two but think him and Muniz would be a vibe

Plus the Brazilian/Portuguese/Spanish vibe we've got at the club - can imagine him enjoying playing alongside Muniz, Traore, Cuenca, Jimenez, Pereira and perhaps Palhinha should he return (which is unlikely).
