Zinchenko is a LB predominantly, meaning likely competition for Robinson? Or is Robinson likely to be off if we sign him?

Know he's played LW and a bit of CM, so had marcos versatility, but what about Sessegnon who more than showed himself last season.

Thought seems to be that Zinchenko is a midfielder who was moved to LB and might prefer to move back into a #8 role. When you consider Pep was mostly using him as an inverted/tucked in LB it makes sense he could be the Reed or maybe AP replacement on the roster.

Marco must consider Sess a Right Side option.

That will all depend on whether he has an injury free season. Nelson would be a gamble whether it be us or Bournemouth. Personally I think we should move on from Nelson and Tete.

I think of Sess's role under Marco more like that of BDR. A tremendously versatile player who can provide value across multiple positions.

As long as Robinson is present, carrying a 2nd LB is not good value for money. So having multiple players able to provide cover seems most sensible. Zinchenko would likely add to the 3 or 4 others who can already do so while playing meaningfully at another spot.

Think I read into the fact that Nelson did almost all of his recuperation at Fulham and the end of season lap of honour. Almost unheard of for a loan player.

I'd be surprised if he went there. Nelson reportedly on £100k/week (good player, but what on earth has he ever done to merit that wage?!) - Bournemouth's highest earner is Evanilson on £85k. 

Zinchenko also reportedly on £150k/week - £30m for both him and Nelson is a decent fee but those wages are a huge PSR hit over 4/5 years for what are gambles. Good players both on their day so don't get me wrong, but those wages are no joke...

Id be happy with nelson here, we were doing well during the time he was in and around the team tbh, but if he goes there the likelihood is we decided against the cost to risk ratio and have other top targets.

He's a clearly talented player beyond the injuries so at cut price worth a punt but only if were truly confident he's recovered and the best option when balancing budget against other positions.

Romulu looks really good and seems able to play across the front line.
Would hate to miss out on him, but as usual we are dragging feet with lower bids that are clearly gonna be rejected.
Hope another club which doesn't sod around doesn't come in.
Has happened several times before, but we don't learn from it.

Both reportedly willing to take a big cut for somewhere they are wanted and where they will play. No way we are paying those wages for either, especially Nelson with his injuries. Only way I see Nelson choosing Bournemouth over us is if they do agree to pay him more and if they do so be it as too big a risk to pay a huge fee or huge wages for him. Defo worth a punt for me if both the fee and wages are low as the talent is there.

Looks talented going forward but a potentially a liability defensively from the stats for an 8 and they have paid a hell of a lot for him. Rumours we were interested so interesting to see how he goes for them.
