Angus Telford

Really don't like those diagrams but quite enthused by Reitz.

Back in my Football Manager days (early 2000s) it had similar diagrams but much better because the star was derived from a broader range of criteria, the the criteria were the simple fundamentals like tackling success, heading, passing accuracy, shooting accuracy etc

IMO a much better option than getting Palhinha back for 30mil. Younger, good stats and 17 mil isn't a huge outlay. Look at what Sunderland paid for diarra. Excited for it if true.

Also don't think zinchenko and Nelson are great options. Nelson for his injury record. Zinchenko as CM and wages. No thanks.

Only thing wrong with Reitz is he's 5'9". Would love more aerial presence.
I'm sat outside in the sunshine and so am struggling to see my phone screen... I honestly thought you said Reitz is '59'!!

Still scouting the RB market seemingly.
Interesting that Tete hasn't signed with Everton yet, guess we're still working on that front.

It still does that, if you want to know what the football manager scouts thought of him 2 years ago (was on hiatus this last season). You'd have to play the fame yourself for the charts though.

Yeah the diagrams are very basic but can at least give a very basic visual comparison between players. I already posted the more detailed link below which is far better:

https://fbref.com/en/players/cc971106/scout/365_m1/Rocco-Reitz-Scouting-Report

No nice visuals to compare but you can do a very detailed player comparison in table form.

Think the diagrams at least show at a basic level he could compliment Berge and Lukic well. They are often accused of not being progressive enough with key passes and this shows this kid has this but can defend as well. He is in the 93rd percentile for through balls for example when looking at the more detailed stats. Not as many goals and assists last year but 6 and 3 the year before so got that in his locker as well whereas the other two don't.

Crazy how similar he is to Wharton who was obviously a steal at around £20m for Palace. Hopefully similar then if we can pull this off for the £17m release clause.

Maybe it is because Tete is our player until his contract expires on 1st July? If he signed before, maybe they would have to pay a fee 🤷♂️

This guy is fast becoming the new Koumas. Read Birmingham are closing in on a deal.

Gladbach fans suggesting this comes in the year after and only applies to champions league clubs. Saying would need to be at least 25m euros. To be fair 25m euros at £22.3 million seems fair enough and wouldn't be surprised if we went for that or anything up to £25m. Apparently he said he'll play for them next season as he loves the club but if the club want the fee maybe we can convince him.

i was wondering whether Fulham are currently 'on hold' until 1st July - the new FFP year starts 01 July so maybe they want to make sure any new players hit that year rather than the year to 30 June.

or alterntavily could just be the normal 'hold on to try get better deal...... oh too late" approach  :slap:

Somerset Fulham

Don't remember it being mentioned but DCL has left Everton.  If ever a player had West Ham stamped all over him...

Yes, the perfect fit.

Always rated DCL but interesting that some claim Moyes saved Everton's season by dropping him & giving the other striker a run out.

I think nothing is stopping us doing deals where the financials could commence from 1 July. I might be wrong on that though.

I think based on the amount of stories that have come out in the last few days of us being in talks/bidding on players, it looks like we're in the process of trying to line a few deals up for next week. Wouldn't surprise me if we are holding things off until July to move into the new PSR year though

Chelsea close to signing Joao Pedro from Brighton for £50m.

Much needed squad depth, they must be worried they don't have enough attackers  :slap:

Brighton must feel that they can buy or develop any player and fleece Chelsea a few years later

Tbh, if it wasn't for his terrible injury record I wouldn't  mind him at CC. But hes been injured so often and for so long it's too much of a risk

Another FFP abuse and they get away with it, usual cooking the books dirty club

I was just thinking about Muniz, the Leeds rumour and his contract. If we believe he's worth £50m right now, I think we need to offer him a new contract. I don't think we can wait for him to have a breakthrough season as he's only got 1 year with an 1 year option left on his contract.

If we don't think he'll get there we should sell him this window if we can get £50m for him. Personally, I think he'll grow into a 15-20 goal season forward - he just needs to build confidence which is a key part of his game.
