Now that's the signing in the Eze or Cunha mould I was talking about. He was magnificient at Fiorentina.

Mmm...big call to put him in that bracket mate as no one is paying £60m for him but certainly looks exciting and someone at least potentially attainable for us. Only a third tier source but you never know...here's praying.  ::thumb::

I didn't mean about the cost but more about finding that kind of player. Cunha cost Wolves 40m, Eze cost between 15-20m when Palace bought him from QPR though.

Hey, thanks for transfer snipets you share here from other place, it certainly make this topic more interesting.

Yeah sound mate. Had a great record at Fiorentina and scored some really nice goals. I suppose at 27 unlikely he'll kick on to new heights like Eze did but if we got him and he showed Fiorentina form take that all day! Check out this goal:

I got excited until someone highlighted it was just like that Bryan Ruiz goal and they totally ruined it for me.

Joe Samson is absolutely right in this post.

Why are we giving credit and airtime to a nobody fan who is just sharing an opinion?

Personally I think it's a shocking take. Wants us to cave into Arsenal and take a player on their terms who has just had major hamstring surgery, a tonne of injuries and is basically Kongolo mark two if we are not careful. I want him back as if he stays fit he could be brilliant but he needs to be able to prove the surgery has worked for a whole season which means the deal has to be on our terms. Arsenal are that desperate to get rid in all likelihood it will be if we hold out. Just a stupid rant from this kid if you ask me.

"This kid" here!

Where did I say I wanted us to cave to Arsenal? Where did I say we need to do the deal on their terms? You can't put words in my mouth and then get angry at the words!

My argument is that if it's a deal we WANT to do (and it's been reported by good sources eg Sami Mokbel of the BBC that we do), then I am shocked it's ongoing in mid July, and now likely to drag on with him going on Arsenal's pre season tour. Silva said we started preparing for this window in January if you cast your mind back a few months, conversations with targets should have started then, not now.

Hi Joe, love your stuff on Fulhamish.  I had a chat with David Daly end of last season and he told me that the board do not want to go in for Nelson as they see the risk as too high.  What I think is happening here is that Marco would like him and ESR is a major rehabilitation exercise that the club are prioritising, Marco thinks Nelson would be very helpful in that respect so the club are saying ok, we will try and bring Nelson back, but the terms have to right.  Arsenal want him out but they want an obligation which naturally Fulham don't, as if he breaks down again we are left with a big cost siting on the rehab table again.  It's the sort of negotiation that takes time and it's basically who will blink first.  Nelson will not want to take a big salary reduction either which is another factor.   Personally think it will happen but it's likely to go on for a while longer.

Thank you that is very kind and also thank you for the update. It matches what a few have said on here in terms of Silva wanting him vs the club being unsure. Lets see what happens over the next week, I imagine it will move one way or another!

Last chance saloon for Harris I think. Hopefully he could take his shot.

Yeah I believe two years left on contract so we desperately need something out of him this year. Just not sure he has the tools to make it for us. Just not particularly quick, skilful or strong and always thought that when I've seen him. Defo has an eye for goal however. Hope as a minimum he has a stormer and we make some money. Muniz was poor at Middlesbrough so you never know but as you say last chance really for him to do something for us. Everything crossed.

Drewry66

Anyway overall seems like things are finally happening as there is at least talk about incomings and outgoings. About this time every year of course.

Drewry66

Actually posted it now. Looks like it's come from Jack Kelly so should be reliable:

So Graeme Bailey posts this:

Jack Kelly then reposts this:

Just wonder if he has also been told it's nearly there. He doesn't announce unless 100% sure but you'd hope the repost is telling.

Somerset Fulham

Honestly, Leeds are mad if they think the lad is going to keep them up.  I may have already said this.

Plus, we are quite simply a better placed club than Leeds. He would be mad to want to go there.

Willian
Nelson
Pendings depends on criteria (AP, Wilson)
I don't see how any of these players are similar to the ones listed. Didn't check every single player from the original list(but looking at the names, I would assume they all played a lot of minutes), but I have checked this list:
Quote from: Chi_FFC on July 21, 2025, 05:27:51 PMCoufal, Antonio, Cresswell, Fabianski, Soler, Ings etc.
And Everton lost Alcaraz, Harrison, Lindstrom who were all heavily involved
And Willian played less minutes than any of them, while only Ings played less than Nelson, everyone else played more minutes than him too. Willian played only 257 minutes and Nelson only 487. They aren't major losses by any means.

As for Wilson and AP, I don't think either one had links as big as the three players that were in the original list. Mbuemo has since been officialy announced too. And even if you don't count Wissa and MGW, they still have lost a lot of important players.

I too would have prefered if we signed some players by now, but at least we haven't lost anyone important and we are in a similar position as we were at the end of last season, while a lot of other clubs have downgraded and need to rebuild.

Yeah just can't see it. He posted himself the other day about good things to come in response to Fulham's post for the friendly. As you say why would he go to a team who are one of the favourites for relegation. Just glad it's not United or someone in for him. All rumours are he's signing soon so fingers crossed.

He helps run a FFC YouTube channel called "Fulhamish" (I'm pretty sure it's the biggest Fulham podcast) and sometimes is in the Fulham press conferences, I'm pretty sure he writes for other football outlets too. He's not a "nobody fan".

Deuce

Completely missed that Vini Souza left Sheff Utd for Wolfsburg this summer for £13 mil. That sounds like a good deal in todays market.

But I guess after we signed Sander, our interest in Vini died down (?)

Well at this point we could spend another three posts each dissecting the reasons why Ings (270 PL minutes) is (or isn't) a significantly bigger loss for WHU than Willian (252 PL minutes) is for us, or we could look at the bigger picture that all these clubs are making signings unlike us (rebutting the post i originally replied to), that even where they're replacing players they're often upgrading, and in any case if we want to be mentioned in the same sentence as Europe next year it's not WHU we need to be keeping up with but moreso the likes of Brighton.

He was a good tackler but absolutely useless on the ball looking at the stats and from what Sheff United fans were saying. No idea if we were ever truly interested but Berge a million times better so yeah defo no need for him once we got Berge.  ::thumb::

I appreciate you sharing context, and I also appreciate the effort he gives to putting together the stuff he does on Fulhamish.

I've responded to what I meant contextually re being a nobody in an earlier post and still think it stands.

Posting opinion based stuff to engage with the fulham fan base, whilst it may be interesting to fans, doesn't automatically give it genuine insights and credibility when it comes to sharing what looked like personal views on our transfers (Nelson) and what he thinks it may mean for Marco.

If anything, I think the way he approached it showed an emotional interest but practical detachment from the reality of what goes on inside the club which illustrated my point further.
