What has happened to the ITK guy,who stated Nelson signing was done and dusted 10 days ago.🤔
No mention now of him or Sterling.

Hugh Janus

I wonder if the ITKs are just regurgitating stuff they read online. Can't remember the last time they came up with something that was true. Cuenca, ESR, Sess, Anderson were all very quietly done.

"My nephew is out with Reece Nelson this evening and he confirmed he's coming back...

We all knew he would be back 1 way or another. Deals pretty much done between clubs he said,  ill see if he can find out more lol

Loan deal again. He wanted a permanent transfer

100% legit,  he said he will try find out if there's obligation to buy in the deal.  He dnt wanna pester him about transfer all night 🤣

Pergola in London is where they are"

We have had false alarms before but sounds very sure about it so unless a complete fabrication re Nelson being out with his nephew sounds like pretty much done. :)

Im not claiming that guy is lying, but if I were trying to get a reputation as a ITK the one name I would use right now is Nelsons. Its obviously very close, which we can read in several different media outlets and it makes sense in a lot of ways.

Lets not forget the so called ITK Coventry guy in their forum that wrote in riddles and claimed that their right back was pretty much set for us

The club have just replied - 'Piss Off'

They'll probably just get a handful of Portaloos in on loan with some kind of option to buy

Here we go again. Keyboard warriors trying to spoil the fun. DM has said many times he's not an ITK he just repeats what he's been told. We've lost MJG and WSW and the board is poorer for it because of abuse. i don't want to lose another one. So would the 12 year olds go to another forum and cry because someone might or might not as the case maybe know more than they do.

And rather than get them from a cheap foreign supplier, we'll pay a premium for the Wembley leftovers from the Oasis gigs, despite being past their sell-by date

WSW wasn't even a Fulham fan, Didn't he get sussed out by someone on here,a lorry driver from Lewes who supported Palace.😅

If your not ITK,dont pretend that you are.

SURELY we get a proper Nelson update soon. Ornstein (who is the most reliable of them all, especially when it comes to deals involving Arsenal) said a deal was close on Saturday 26th July. It's worth pointing out that he did say that all deal types (loan with option, obligation or a permanent deal) were still on the table at that stage, so I do wonder how close an agreement actually was at the time of writing.

We're at a stage now where it's a race against time for any new signings to be involved in our last pre season friendly at the weekend against Frankfurt.

Even if we did sign Nelson in time our squad would be exactly the same as last season's with the addition of Lecomte and without Willian. Not good enough.

Agree - We could find ourselves in a position where teams who finished below us have strengthened such as Spurs, Man Utd, West Ham, Everton climbing above us and we are starring at 15th 16th next season at best. It is clear there is ZERO desire from the board to back a European push, the transfer policy is mearly one of survival and doing "Just Enough" to survive.

Our squad is not particually better or worse than last season, albeit it is another 12 months old on top of an aging team, it appears those around us are pressing on.

I might be reading the room totally wrong but still have an inkling something a foot at FFC. which is having a knock on effect.

What I want to know is why, if everyone and their dogs seem to know Nelson is signing, and have done for a while, then what are the club doing that's dragging it on for so long and stopping us from announcing it?

So poor from the club this window.

Probably had 90% of the deal agreed for weeks but prob one or two sticking points that Arsenal and we won't budge on so there has been a stand off/game of chicken. In all likelihood over an obligation element (that is what has been reported) you'd guess. If so we are totally right to hold our ground as he has to prove his fitness before we commit after his crazy injury history and recent hamstring surgery. If it comes out we have caved and we are tied into having to take him without mitigating that risk there would be uproar on here. End of the day none of us know but if it was that easy to get what we want off Arsenal it would have been done weeks ago.

Seems we as a club drive a hard bargain, if we know the player wants to join us and the selling club wants rid but doesn't have any other alternative.

There was a similar brinkmanship over the Leno deal that went on for weeks. And seemingly the CHO deal that never quite happened.

My guess is something similar is happening here.

Defo and because of all this we hold all the cards so why should we cave. The only reason would be to get him in earlier but not like we don't have cover left side for the moment and he know us inside out anyway of course. As per all the PSR/SCR rules chat the last few days we are massively up against it if the new rules come in so every deal this window has to be right for us.

Lots of people have been saying the deal for Nelson deal is "all but done" for over two weeks. It clearly isn't unless something has changed in the last few hours.

Discussing a permanent or loan with option vs obligation is clearly the main issue as the player wants to come, we want him and Arsenal want him gone. It's clearly a big sticking point currently (or at least it has been until this point) otherwise he'd be in a Fulham shirt already. I am surprised so many people think the type of transfer is such a small hurdle, otherwise so far the only progress made is us enquiring on taking him on loan, which was supposedly done 2.5 weeks ago.

Only come up again as this guy on Discord said his nephew was out with Nelson last night mate and he said pretty much done. God knows if true!

 :slap:

If he was out with Nelson straight from the horses mouth of course. Could be that one side has caved? Who knows. It better not have been us! I really want him back but I certainly don't unless he has to play at least 25 games to trigger an obligation to prove his fitness. With these new SCR rules if we get stuck with another Kongolo we are in pretty big trouble.

I like Nelson a lot but it feels like this has dragged on for far too long. If the deal doesn't suit us we should move on to other targets. FWIW I hope Nelson signs as I think he improves us.

We do hold all the cards though mate so just holding out until Arsenal cave you'd imagine. If we have a sensible obligation he's probably a way better player than we could afford right now so worth the wait if the deal is right in my opinion. Got Iwobi who started left all last season and ESR looked very good left pre season so no mad rush for us.  ::smile::

I think you hit the nail on the head about getting him in early. That along with the faint possibility of other bidders is all the leverage Arsenal has in the situation. Unless other bidders come in, Fulham have more leverage to get a better deal as each day passes. Seems all the risk is on Arsenal's side since there are no other bidders, he isn't in Arsenal's plans and the player appears to want the move. No reason for Fulham to cave at this point imo.
