Summer Silly Season Transfer Thread 2025

Am I correct in believing Muniz is one of the lower earning players at Fulham.
His agent will want to change that!

Reportedly 7.5k a week so yes. I do think this is an agent positioning before signing new contract. Although if silly money did come in for him then we can hardly turn it down even with a difficult two strikers to sign deadline....

Why can't we turn the money down? I thought we were owned by a millionaire!

Not being funny, and as much as I love Muniz, if someone's offering say £45-50m for him, that's silly money and i'd snap it off. Muniz has shown glimpses of real talent and potential but the big question mark is, can he be consistent enough. So far, no hence why i just don't think you can turn that money down. Just my opinion of course.

I don't know if I'd sell him a this point in the window knowing it would leave us with 1 senior striker who's 34, but that potential sum of money goes a long way to signing 2-3 extra players on top of the ones we'd probably already got lined up

If he truly had kicked his toys out of the pram, we got offered £50m and we already had a Pepi or Romulo or even a returning Mitrovic lined up then and only then could you see us sanctioning it. The striker market looks to be a nightmare and we already need a third. All massive if's above but not impossible I suppose. Marcos press conference on it will certainly be interesting.

At this point I struggle to see Pepi leaving knowing he's #1 at PSV, guaranteed a year of European football and a good season gets him a big move next summer, and Leipzig will chuck loads of money at Romulo now they've sold Sesko. If we were actually going to move for one of them, we should've had a deal for Muniz lined up so we could trigger both deals at once and not be caught short, but it looks like Atlanta are adoptiing our tactic of bid later and hope for a better deal, which in turn leaves us slim pickings to sign two strikers when we already needed one, and will need another one next summer when Raul leaves

Could be a likely scenario, or we have plenty of other options at our finger tips lined up including say Mitrovic and one of Pepi/Romulo (or a number of linked and not currentl;y linked strikers lined up.) I trust our recruitment, but personally, as much as I like Muniz, I think if hes not signing a new deal, we'd be silly to turn down £50m. One stinker season and we get next to nothing.

Defo completely agree mate. Think Pepi and Romulo are highly unlikely but if not them or someone else good like JP we just tell them to F off. Muniz would still have to play well to get his move next year if that is what he wanted just like JP did. All if he has actually kicked his toys out the pram of course which could well be Italian media BS. See what happens.

Hope he's wrong but it's not a great look.

£30m + for Rodrigo i would take - he is not the finished article by any means and no guarantee that he will become a 20 goals a season man.

The above is based on caveat we have a reasonable striker lined up to buy as a replacement in this transfer window. Selling Rodrigo with no replacement would be crazy

If we sell him for £30m we'd have to give £6m to Flamengo as they get 25% of profit over £6m - £24m isn't really going to get a younger, ready made PL striker of which he is, and would instead have to go into a prospect like Romulo which is quite a risk considering he'd instantly be backup to Raul and could be thrown in the deep end if Raul is injured

Muniz wants to leave because Silva is always whining. Apparently Silva wants players in who are injured and limp and walk into walls. He always complains he wants players in early and never plays them until they have become comfortable with the cushions and soft furnishing and the music selection and enjoy a good chat.

Muniz says he never played as often as he wanted and Silva moaned that Muniz didn't like the sandwiches he made. Constant complaints.

Expect us to lose Muniz and the centre half that never played but is really good. While we replace them with old, tired, journeymen.
