In the ongoing Serie A transfer standoff between Atalanta and Inter, Lookman is forcing a move to Inter (he's actually in London training alone and is refusing to return to Atalanta) Inter have called off the deal and Atalanta are standing firm on a €50m price tag. But if this deal goes through, will Muniz be on his way?

Muniz would be replacing Retegui, a striker, not Lookman, so that would have no bearing on things. They got €65m for Retegui so plenty of dosh to fork out for Muniz.

Muniz is likely to leave. A young ambitious player who hopes for a World Cup place is hardly going to turn down the opportunity to play in a champions league team which finished 3rd in serie a. Bergamo a great city to live in as well.

FFC should get as much as possible for the sale and reinvest in another young striker. Shame we sold Stansfield and the youngster who went to Celtic.

There's an awful lot of assumptions in there. One being will he even play and be a starter. Currently he's up against Lookman, though he has put in a transfer request.

Those assumptions are based on very little. Hardly likely to turn down a place!, he is contracted at FFC for another 2 seasons. Not like we are forcing the guy out of the club

I still think the SCR chat is a red herring. We're offering more fee's out. We're signing on players and if Muniz is off next summer anyway (some of the thought processes anyway), whether hes sold now, or next summer won't impact SCR wages. I think we've offered a competitive contract and he's just testing the market but we'll see.

I don't see why he'd post his Chelsea winner if he was indeed, sulking massively behind the scenes.

Working on that basis, however, Shaktar, for example, would be justified in asking €65M of us for Kevin.

Personally, my reaction to that Chelsea video was him (or his agent) putting him in the shop window rather than him reaffirming his affection for Fulham, but that's maybe just my cynicism.

I guess we will never really know but the fact he was banging them in in the U21s and didn't get on the bench when we were down to 1 fit striker at the end of last season tells some of the story.  To be a 3rd placed striker you need to be either young and hungry and itching for a chance or at the tail end of your career and just happy to be signed to a club.  I would much rather the former.

Even after Muniz's injury, I'm not aware we went into any match without either Jimenez or Vinicius in the squad.

If not Osmand as your hungry, young back-up striker, what about Loupalo-Bi? Further up the page, you remarked as to how Osmand would not have cost anything. The same would be true were Loupalo-Bi to fill the void left by Vinicius.

I have a suspicion that neither Osmand nor Stansfield were seen as a good fit for Silva's tactics. He likes target men and they're both pretty slight.

Maybe Loupalo-Bi is a better fit, but he's largely untested having only had one senior season in the National League.

Ive always been in the keep him camp
45m + and I accept the clubs probably going to struggle not to take it if the player pushes for the move too.

Lookman I also always rated (same with anguissa) said at the time it wasn't their fault the manager was useless at getting the best from them

Muniz should have been given a new 5 deal when he went on that scoring run 2 years ago. Keeping him on that contract ( assuming we made no attempt to negotiate ) was asking for trouble .
Would love to see him become a star with us but next best thing is to get a good fee and move on . Normally the quicker the better .
