Well,
We shall see. You'd think it'll be a case of us getting in a suitable replacement in before the end of the window and them offering a price were happy with.

If neither happens. Hell be here after August and have to get on with it like Palhinha did
Cant believe that he wants to go,thought he loved us,with all his comments made.
Well if he goes he goes, cant do nothing about it.
Most are all mercenaries after the dosh.

Atalanta has champions league football on offer and a bigger platform to try and get in the national team.

I think he'd turn down a conference or mid table team if we were offering similar terms to them but this is a 'step up' so to speak. Think there is a major risk that Atalanta will implode after Gasperini has left and been replaced with Juric who has gone from great at Verona to mediocre at Torino to being terrible at Roma and Southampton though.

Atalanta a step up.
Dont think so,its a crap league.

Come on man....Atalanta is a step up. Challenging for titles/trophies and champions league experience.

Thing is they're unlikely to be challenging for titles and trophies this year I reckon. But yeah it probably is a step up because of their last few seasons; and if he does well in Champions League then it could be a stepping stone to a super club as Atalanta have been good for in recent seasons.

Doesn't matter because he isn't going there, its all made up nonsense.
Because I'm ITK.🤣

Calvert Lewin to Leeds being reported by Ornstein. Guess that means Taremi decided to go here instead.

Wonder if this could be a Silva connection signing as he was great in Portugal before going to Inter.

Slaphead in Qatar

fee of £38 being talked of in the latest reports for Muniz-  absolutely crazy the transfer fees these days.  no way he is worth £38m

A step up you say, half their clubs are in financial trouble.
When did they last win Champions league.
Have you seen attendance at some of their games.
Step down imo.

I thought it didn't matter as he wasn't going there and you're ITK!?  ::tongue::

I just think being in the champions league makes this a bit of a non starter mate, but appreciate your opinions. I did prefer the original opinion though that he's staying put so we'll stick to that one!

Spot on.

Well it's all relative to what you compare it to? £70m for Sesko or Hojlund is the upper end of inflation. Jacob Ramsey for £38m.

When you compare to other transfer fees, a young player with good stats in the last two seasons - you'd have to see he's worth at least that as a baseline.

Fulham Tup North

::angry:: A lot of this Muniz talk seems a little self inflicted, if the rumors are true that we are only paying him £7,500 pw ... (I know £7,500 is a fortune in the real world) ... but when measured against other Premier League strikers - even with him only getting 8 starts last season ... it is peanuts.
Why have we not offered him a new contract or at least increased his current one?  Maybe we have, but I have not heard any updates ... not that the Khan's would need to run it past me first of course ...  :slap:

DCL going to Leeds, seems high risk to me?

hovewhite

DCL off to Leeds ,don't think Muniz will go if at all till end of window after we have signed replacement.

It's an interesting comparison, until recently they were just the average Italian club with seemingly little notable history, not in the last 40 years or so at the very least.

Yet now we're talking about them in the terms we are. At some point the realisation needs to be that they got there through a mix of smart recruitment, improving what they already have and keeping hold of their stronger players.

Muniz is a prime example of a player you keep and give more time to get to that next level.

Atalanta have learned that, surely we should.

Atalanta do sell their stronger players though. The reason they want to sign Muniz is because they sold their top scorer and their second top scorer (who together account for almost half their goals scored) is pushing for an exit.

But if it works, cracking signing for a newly promoted team. If it works.

Mr Mitrovic said he loved the club and was his home
I don't agree with you comment that they are all mercenaries, it's there career, and like you me and everyone else, they want to do what's best for them and their families, when we get a player in do you consider him to be a mercenary.
