50-60m?

🤣🤣🤣 He's a good player granted but behave! What a mad market. Good for them holding firm I guess but expect they'll end up agreeing close to under 38m

But a further 9 months once he signs a contract with Fulham

And for those not aware it is extremely common for Brazilians to use Spanish phrases. You could drop a Brazilian in Mexico and they'd do fine.

But it's probably just the meme either way, and the language has nothing to do with it.

My wife is Brazilian and she said 'Se Queda' would never really be used in Brazil (he stays is 'Ele Fica;). She did say it is archaic Portuguese from Portugal phrase meaning 'if you fall'. But, there is no way Pereira would intend that as the meaning. He is obviously referencing the Pique - Neymar tweet.

So I basically agree with you!

Seems like we should be able to compete with Bournemouth and Forest at least.
He has rejected a contract, is it another player thinking he will go straight into the big time.

He had a good schoolboy path with Arsenal before switching to us only last year when it came to the Youth Scholarship stage.
What is wrong with these young people?

The rumour about Kevins injury is that it isn't as bad as it's been made out to be and is transfer related...

That did not come from my source so could be complete bull

So we splash a record fee on a bloke that would feign an injury to facilitate a transfer.
Sounds about right for a modern professional sportsperson. Should fit in well.

The injury would be feigned by Shaktar in this case, not Kevin. Hard to feign a meniscus tear.

Interesting my friend in Northern Italy who is Brazilian said "to be honest I never heard this expression" and then proceeded to question his life in moving to Italy and now he has no one to go to football with and got very sad.  :slap:  :slap:

But I made him answer me if he had to say which one sounds more right and he said for sure the "stay."

So I think this is purely a meme trick.

Yeah, hardly Isak's "thigh injury".

That's right I had same injury, but without the medical back up it took months to heal.

And why would they do that? How  does that help any in negotiations?

It throws up a shield around the player from his own supporters whilst negotiations take place?

Yes we're scaling the heights here. Just wait for the Farnborough Airport brigade to click into gear.

It's the most 'the devil makes work for idle hands' thread I've seen before, and that's saying something.

A case of overthinking things due to boredom and disproportionately being emotionally involved with something you can't control.

So what's the record number of pages for these silly transfer threads?

Don't think he had a great path at Arsenal. Nwaneri was a year older in his position when he left and Dowman was already ahead being 2 years younger. Does seem like he might run at the first sign of major competition. Definitely talented, but probably feels he should be farther ahead and he was a sub last night for the u21s rather than a starter.

It's when we start hearing about players star signs and what that means for the prospects of a transfer that I know we've all gone mad  ::beer::

Btw to all those who have been parsing AP's post for the linguistics - thank you.

I'm laughing at the situation we find ourselves in but I did enjoy the input (and learned some light archaic Portuguese  ::thumb:: )
