I can't agree with this. I like Sess, but we need players to take us to a higher level. Players that can run at their full back and prize open set defences. Sess does not give us that

And we saw that last Sunday. I like Sess and was delighted (and surprised) by his contributions last season. If he can continue to stay healthy he'll be a valuable utility option in the squad. But he's not a guy who should be a regular starter on the wing for a club at Fulham's level.

Sounds like chuk is all but signed at this poiint, expecting movement after their game tonight. So maybe he's first in the door tomorrow.

Either way, what will be will be. Plenty times we've made multiple signings in last few days. This one will have to be no different

But this isn't "no different". In past seasons we have made some last minute signings but have already got a few through the door (lateish perhaps but not last minute). This time we haven't signed one single outfield player, so all our signings will be last minute. That is definitely different.
Not saying we might not come up trumps but I cannot recall ever seeing such brinkmanship from our club before.

Are you disagreeing on that we have signed multiple players towards the end of windows before? Because that is all that Jay said. He didn't even say that it was good or bad, just that we need multiple signings in the last few days.

I swear people glance over text and interpret it however it suits what they want to say anyway. Just make a separate post about it instead of misquoting someone.

Jay should have said "no different in that respect." Otherwise, that statement just reads as this window being "no different" to previous windows, which Twig IMO is perfectly entitled to interpret as a general comparison and point out why, as such, it's false.

Still nothing positive despite all the rumours...So bloody frustrating, so happy to tie down the likes of Tete and King but that was at the beginning of the window. Nearing the end of it all we have is a back up goalkeeper and  possibles which seems to be going nowhere. I hoped we'd build on last season and although I'm happy we've kept the squad together all we need is a couple of incomings...how hard can that be?
