One of the commentators of Talk Sport saying Man city should put an offer in for 80 million for King today, 'he's just what they need' he said!

Are the recruitment team working this weekend?

Have they ever been working since the start of the window in July?

No AFCON for Ghana this year so would be available...

His ACL last season could be a problem in the medical if we went to him.

Do we just forego doing medicals for players brought in on deadline day?

We need Josh King a lot more than Man City do.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Josh a England player in the Making

Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a call up this season

King won't get an England call up until he is signed by a 'big 6' club.

Slightly NFR but, for anyone following the Nicolas Jackson debacle with Bayern, did anyone else notice that our ex-striker Diomansy Kamara is his agent?

Wonderfully, he's been causing Chelsea some grief on Instagram this evening by insinuating that Jackson won't be going back to Chelsea, despite their efforts to get him back from Munich after Delap's injury today.

I'll never forget his bicycle kick against Spurs back in the day  ::scarf::

Or that winner at the Emptyhad which won us the game 3-2.

Luka

Marco will be off at the end of the season unless something meraaculoutse happens.
Chatter is Marco had the nod from Levy that levy then reneged on for the Spurs job.
That's why he turned down the Saudi offers.
The Khans are not going to load up on players a new manager might not fancy.
This window will be a holding position. We might get the odd player but only those they want not just Silva's choices.
They will view this squad as good enough for EPL survival then spend big next summer.

At least a couple of reasons I can't buy this.

Firstly, whilst it may cost a few million to pay-off Silva and bring in a new manager, it would be nowhere near enough to justify the alternative of keeping him in the role just to go through the motions - even just the reduced prize money of finishing say 15th (without backing) instead of 10th (with backing) would cost more than the pay-off, for example.

Secondly, our spending (net) has already been pretty low for two seasons before this one. The purse strings were tightened in 2023, not just now.

Coastwalker

Some on here when Jack Grealish was mentioned as a possible loan, said no way.
2 assists last week and another 2 today.
Whatever you think of him, great player.

This is very old regurgitated news. But as he hasn't signed a contract beyond this season then he could be on his way. But then that might be part of the problem. No club is going to spend inflated prices on players knowing a new manager will want different players and may want to play a different system. Chicken and the egg.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope
