Quote from: jayffc on September 01, 2025, 08:46:21 PMIt's 4 young exciting players.

All with permanent or option to be bar 1 loan of a Bayern Wonderkid.

Brilliant end to a long frustrating window waiting for the action to hit. Always felt we'd get quality business done in the end. We needed a handful of quality options and I think we've got that.

People freaking out and calling the club a disgrace all day - only for us to bring in 4 exciting attacking signings, so overboard. Was it a risk leaving it late, sure but I'm really happy with our attacking options now.

My only concern is CM, so not a 10/10 for me window.
1 point off for leaving it a little later than normal even for my liking.
1 point off for not bringing in a CM although we do have options there still.

Top Youth signed ✅
Squad kept together ✅
5 signings made ✅
4 high-quality young attacking players ✅
GK backup improved ✅

It's a 7.5- 8/10 for me. Well see how it looks by the end of the season with benefit of hindsight

this is of course IF all these come off as reported

It's a nice outcome, but I do feel people calling the club scattergun is fair and warranted still.

I've always maintained that operationally I don't like the way we do things but you have to judge things at the end of the window.

I'm really waiting on these announcements, but really happy we've brought in new attacking reinforcements. Can't wait to see what they do.

Does seem to be a particularly weird window and a very manic deadline day all over.

Shame that Sterling doesn't seem to have happened though, that would have been handy, I reckon.

May still do to be fair if George falls through some rumours sterling might get his contract terminated...🤔

It would have been very handy. But whatever happens, TK is crap.

If we miss out on George i'd drop it to a 6.5-7

I'll reserve final judgement until we get these confirmed and announced by the club, but things do seem a bit rosier than 48 hours ago.

I dont particually see it as a great window, we need all 4 signing to happen, its a real shame we left it so late that they missed pre season and three games in, it is not a great way to hit the ground running. It is what it is, and it is standard TK

Didn't Harry himself say he wanted a new deal ideally and was in conversation with the club? From memory it was a club interview though so take with a pinch of salt.

I hope we sign him up to an extension and then sell next year if he (and we) get the right opportunity

A decent assessment mate. Love the wingers and the age.

We desperately need a decent third striker and he looks an exciting option. Folk are saying why pay that fee for someone that does t play but everyone's forgotten the end of last season when Muniz went down and stuffed us. Imagine him or Raul got injured gir 6 months. Gutting there's not an option but hopefully he can do the job if needed and you never know we could make it perm.

The business to retain was amazing and looking just at King with how he's started he's like a £40m signing now and could make us £100m in a few years.

Iwobi can play 8 but I really thought if we nailed that with a massive upgrade it could really push us on with the wingers so disappointed there to be honest. Having said that a difficult one as would block Ridgeon although could always have sold a midfielder in a year or two to make space.

Other negative is being this late. I never mind the first few weeks in August but 3 games in could have missed out on points. Having said that looks like Chuckwuaze and Kevin's clubs were never going to let them go earlier as both needed them to the end of last week so little we could do there by the looks of it.

I'd prob go 7 out of 10. If we had nailed a CM, got an option on the young striker and got stuff through a bit earlier would have been a brilliant window.

Yeah it's a lot of wingers. AFCON to think about still...

Wonder what the story was with the Wilson thing, and will he now leave on a free. Wonder what the agreed fee with Leeds had been.

I was really not keen on the idea of directly strengthening a promoted club with such a good player.

copthornemike

ex-Cottager Patrick Roberts joining Birmingham on loan, so joining up with Jay Stansfield.
Will watch with interest.

10m region alledgedly but went back and asked for more today is the rumour

Who knows what's bs and what isn't though

Regardless we got plenty attacking fire power now

Surprisingly close to my 6.5.

However if George doesn't get done I'd drop it to a 4.5 because not only is it another position failed to cover, but you're also not really getting the average age down significantly with Kevin alone.

Drewry66

Rutzler reckons the deal sheets are in for the other two young lads so hopefully fine 🙏

George deal off.

Yep, it's fair enough to criticise doing everything last minute if that is a player the club really wanted.

4.5 would be far too low for me given youth (kings already showing his worth) + keeping squad + young exciting attackers but to each his own. I thought if we brought in tyrique wed lose Adama or Wilson who I both like so he feels an added bit of excitement to me rather than something that would drop me 2 points personally 😅

It could turn out to be higher than 7.5/8 if Kevin becomes what I hope he can but given all discussws I think that's where I'd mark it. Samba whites worth the admission fee. Attackers who can get ya out the seat. Excited to see them line up now
