Amazing that when people were calling for MS to go mid season given the poor form there were so many posters replying with "So who would you suggest" and talking as if there was no one.

Feels to me like the actual situation is completely the opposite to what you're implying. I haven't read anyone getting excited about any of the supposed candidates.

I would rather he stayed than bringing in anyone on that bookies list.

Would love Glasner, but I think he's aiming higher than Fulham. That leaves Frank - which I think is a great fit.

God help us. Scott Parker at 6-1 and Rosenior not far behind. I'm really hoping its neither of those.

If we end up with either, we are going to struggle. Martin O Neill is staying at Celtic to work with Robbie Keane, for PR reasons. Glasner is off to Milan. McKenna and Lampard are staying put.

I'd love to see Eckert. I think he'll learn from Spygate, and become a top manager. Frank would be a good appointment also.

I was one of those people and this list does nothing for me.

Now we've lost probably our best ever manager, and are about to lose half our goals from the squad on free transfers... I'm not feeling great about next season.

Of course maybe they can pull off a coup and get someone outside the three or four "expected" candidates, I just highly doubt it.

Sounds like we were loosing Wilson anyway, and really we should be replacing Raul, kinda feel whether MS or someone else, that train was coming down the tracks, we havent really been great on the transfer to prepare. I do worry that with those goals removed, there is going to be issues if the right manager does not come in, or is not given the budget and enough window time to work with

I assume that Frank would be more warmly welcomed than Lampard. I always liked Lampard as a player because he took stick and gave it back to us when invariably he scored.

Secondly, managers that have just got clubs promoted aren't going to jump ship and come to us.

Thirdly..Parker? Like the Khans are going to appoint a manager who left because we had "no ambition".

Fourthly "slot" ... he isn't going to go from arguably the biggest club in the world in fan base terms and come and work in the same division, he will rebuild in Germany or Spain.

As to the others, who knows but I doubt the Khans will appoint a Felix McGrath.

What's your read on Glasner? Of the touted list I think he's by far the best "realistic" option, but I don't think he'd want to move here.

I think that's an easy one to get round, you give them a lower wage but large incentives with bonuses for meeting league position and Europa qualification.

I think what will matter is who gets the Milan job out of Slot and Glasner. Whoever is left out will likely be evaluating whats best. Is it to move to Fulham this summer or wait until something better comes along, which likely will involve having to wait 6 months or so.

I dont see why Glasner would join us tbh. It would just be him trying to replicate the exact same journey with us as he did with CP. He probably wants a bigger club.

Slot could very much consider us if he wants to stay in the prem. But it is a step down for him, and this is a man who turned down Spurs (before their downfall) when he was at Feyenoord, so he doesnt strike me as too much of an opportunist

Anyone have idea why Glasner left?  Did nice job there, team won some silverware, always a competitive mid table side.  Not sure why he left, or, why the FFC job would be of appeal.
