Since SJ was always able to say no to any suggestions it was not a player brought in over his head - and in any event; does it matter??

As always not every prospect works out and this is one of the few failures from the many we brought in last summer - which cannot be a bad result - no matter who had the final say

Barnsley less of a threat tomorrow

Sheffield Wednesday have signed striker Sam Winnall from Barnsley for an undisclosed fee on a deal running until June 2020.

Winnall joined the Tykes from Scunthorpe in July 2014, but would have been out of contract in summer.

The 25-year-old scored 48 goals in 116 games for the club, including 11 in 22 Championship appearances this season.

He is available to make his Owls debut when they host Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Chelsea recalled Bamford from his loan on Burnley. Doubt it will be as cover for Costa - he will probably go out on loan to a different team.
Is it certain that we cannot get more than 2 players on loan from another team?
