Whoever they get it won't be very easy to prove from that video

The bus driver might be a witness to the whole thing, he reacted so quickly he may have been watching. As for identifying the culprit, the woman recognised him when he ran back over the bridge, so should have a good shout at picking him out.

If this bloke is some high-flyer, he may have got someone to trump-up (apologies for the expression)- and he's had three months to come up with it -  this so-called evidence that he was overseas at the time but there must surely be travel records to discredit that.

That's my point, he'd have to invoke that, just calling on a mate to vouch for him would not do.

What a tosser
There are (and suspect always have been) a lot of nasty arrogant people out there. I believe that these incidents seem to happen more frequently now because of no consequences. I'm not making any political point here, I do not mean in the courts, sentences etc. I mean that passers-by never get involved and I understand why with the threat of people carrying knives etc.
But to those of my generation who are from the local manor, let's be honest here: if that incident had happened in the 70s or 80s, the guy wouldn't have made it home in a good state. In all probability, the bus driver would have pulled over and got out, a fair view of his passengers would have piled in as would most of the male pedestrians.
Someone once said to me, if you woke up and behaved like it was 1975, you'd be in custody by the afternoon. In some ways, that is a very good thing, in other ways not.
I'm glad she was ok but, poor lady, will probably be in a state of panic every time she passes a jogger in future. He is a pthetic bully. My best wishes to her if any of you know her.

C Block

I wouldn't mind he's recently divorced or separated from a partner and they've now thrown him under the bus to the local authorities.

Old threads do make me a bit sad when they re-appear.  We have lost so many good contributors to this forum over the years.
