Quote from: LC on July 07, 2024, 03:50:24 AMSo this is my transfer list for this summer, some of for now and some are for the future:

- Trevoh Chalobah
- Ronnie Edwards
- Harrison Burrows
- Florentino Luis
- Scott McTominay
- Reiss Nelson
- Emile Smith Rowe

That is obviously going to cost some serious money. With the Palhinha funds and Andreas looking for a move, I think the above is doable. For the purpose of the list above I've presumed Andreas leaves this summer. If you combine that with Marco Silva saying that he doesn't expect FFP to be a problem this window then I think we are in a strong position. You could throw in another goalkeeper and a centre forward to that list, but I would prefer to rely on our academy players to fill the gap- especially Jay Stansfield who I hope kicks on this coming season. If there are additional funds and someone like Jonathan David wanted to join us then I would have that signing, but that is unlikely.

If we got offered somewhere between £35m to £40m for Robinson, then I would probably do that deal- not an unrealistic price if you keep in mind the reported £37.5m Ian Maatsen deal. Presuming that happened I would look at Sergio Reguilon.

Anyhow, I thought I would share my thoughts.
Ronnie Edwards gone to Southampton
how many of your list do you think will be in a Fulham shirt end of this window tell us and we will comeback to it then .

None.

We have a real problem...again.

Why are we so slow out of the starting blocks in the transfer window.

I honestly think it'll be a window of struggle yet again, and it'll be a rush and dash at the end to get in signings at the end.

If Silva doesn't get what he wants, and before pre season, then I think he'll walk.
looking for an awnser from THEfulham guy,but your awnser is pretty much mine as this thread every season is just speculation.
McTominey & ESR
thanks, you have sources in the club?
I know FulhamFanNews and he has a source in the club & knows many top journos too.

The club is working hard on deals and I know some of the info I give sometimes is wrong but that is also because the club put out dud info to throw people off.
As FFN has said on X Fulham don't like their business in the media.

🤞 For some good transfer news soon. 👍🏻

What have you been right about ever?

Fulham Fan News has absoultely zero sources at the club, has never broken anything.
FFN won't post without a source as all he gets is rubbish from everyone asking for a source. He has a select group of people he's happy to share info with.

I'm leaving now anyway, don't need crap.people need to realise this isn't a video game! Transfers are tough negotiations and take time not to mention they can change very quickly.
For those that care Fulham will sign quality players this summer.
I believe it will not sure how many of the players will come hoping 3 or 4 do as they will up our ability level which the likes of Bassey and iwobi did last season.

A huge mistake by us. Could have got him back for nothing.

It's only a mistake if we wanted him.

The alleged mistake could have been that we didn't want him although we should have...

Maybe deemed too much of an injury risk.

Loved Ryan when he was with us, wish him all the best but he is no Olise. Hope Palace fans know that & don't get on his back.

Alternatively he may not of wanted to come back.

Sure. But I was replying to your post that stated that it could only be a mistake if we wanted him. Which I find incorrect, since it could have been a mistake for many reasons. Or equally, it could be for the best, for many reasons.

So Palace are selling Olise for 50m and replacing him with a freebie, although a freebie who hasn't played much in the last season or two. Bayern are going to have sell a ton of players this season, with Olise and Palhinha and other players they've bought so far, they will have spent about €150m

Somerset Fulham

They play on different sides of the pitch don't they?

You might be right, maybe they'll try and retrain him to RW. I don't know much about Palace but who's their main LW?

Olise RAM, Eze LAM, Mateta CF. Palace use wingbacks for greater width.

I expect palace would want Sess as left-sided wingback competition with Tyrick Mitchell.

Shame, as I think his natural position is as a left winger.

I think Ryan is as much of a replacement to Olise as McTominay would be to Joao tbh.

Alan Nixon says we're in for ESR at £25m which is a deal that Arsenal are interested in, and that we need to convince him to join now

Please don't do this to me. Felt this excited about the prospect of signing Romagnoli at CB the other year only to end up signing Diop as Romagnoli didn't want to come (no offence to Diop btw). ESR obviously way younger and an even better prospect in a more exciting position, but it was more the statement of intent I was buoyed by.

Lets go Emile, It's lovely in SW6 we'll look after ya!

Agreed. The difference is that they want 40 million and Sess was free

btffc

Sess fits much better as a LWB in Palace's system than he would in Silva's as he is not a LB and Silva wants inverted wingers which he hasn't ever done.

Matt10

Glasner probably remembers seeing Sess play against his side when he managed Wolfsburg during the pandemic. Under Hoeneß, Sess very much played that entire left side as a LWB, even if the 3-5-2 says he was a LM. He's also played with Chris Richards before in that same team. Logical move overall. Wouldn't be surprised if Glasner brings Weghorst to Palace as well.

That's one of the reasons I thought Ryan might return, is that (most of) our fan base would boost his confidence, and that is sometimes a positive to a player who in a Palace side might be judged (wrongly) on his inability to live up to past players and then struggle.

I have a tenuous rumour which probably mean nothing at all.
So I'm in a pub in Ipswich watching England on Saturday and get talking to an Ipswich fan, he tells me that he or someone he knows is a friend of Talbot our chief scout! Bear with me as I was three sheets to to wind times 4 🙄.

So the rumour, there is a player called Johnson thst we are interested in! Now, he may well of told me the first name but I'd had too much beer by then. That's it, not quite finger on the pulse but I'm still feeling the hangover  :slap:
