Arsenal drew with Bournemouth in a friendly in LA tonight. ESR was one of 15 who started on Arsenal's bench. 10 of those 15 were subbed on at some point...ESR was not one of them.

Yeah I hope so too. Perhaps ESR is Marcos highest priority as some have reported. Maybe we needed to confirm how much we're spending on him to establish remaining budget? Also the kind of signing that could encourage others to come? Someone like Chalobah could look at it and think that if ESR is willing to drop down it's a club looking to kick on? All ifs and buts but would just be amazing to get such a big signing over the line to start things off. Having said that can't see any goodbyes on Fluminese s twitter from Andres home game a few hours ago! Anyone watch it? Rios didn't start by the looks of it but must have come on at half time as played 45.

I watched the Fluminese - Palmeiras match. Some in the Fluminese forum were saying this was Andre's departure match. Unfortunately, the camera didn't pan to him at the end, so no teary acknowledgement that I could see.

There is some rumbling about Andre being a Diniz player (their former manager, who a lot blame for their downfall with his style of pla) that may not suit their system any longer. Seems to be a common remark when he messes up - which wasn't often.

Hopefully we get a deal done with him as it seems he's not 100% appreciated where he's at.

If ESR signs for Fulham FC this will be a quality signing and may encourage other targets to sign because ESR is a step up and it shows ambition and he would be crucial as an AM.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

Last year far worse at this point but we still ended up with Raul, Bassey,Traore, Iwobi,Ballo Toure and Castagne and kept Robinson and Palhinha, we hadnt signed a player yet either but were amidst endless articles about mitro and the saudis, claims he said he'd never play for us again, silva rumours to saudi and wondering if he eas leaving, palhinha will he wont hes etc.

This years been a bit slow to start but linked with tons of exciting young talent. We already have a good quality starting 11  who did perfectly well in Joao and willians absence last year and additionally were fine with Diop prior to Tosin getting given starts to encourage him to sign a contract extension. Plenty time for incomings left and seemingly on the cusp with 2 great young players as ever, see where were at come the end of the window as recent recruitment has certainly seen a high hit rate🤞🏼

As others mentioned I suspect he might be starting LM unless Periera moves on. Wed have Iwobi and ESR capable of interchanging at LM and CAM too (with Iwobi possibly being starting RW too)

Either way, I agree, if fit and can refind form he has huge potential.

Lets see if we sell Pereira now, getting the majority of our money spent on ESR back and buy a winger like Summerville. Thats would be some business.

Oof dont get me started, we dont seem to be a front runner for Summerville so Ill temper my expectations but that would be an insanely exciting prospect of a front 4 with a wealth of top options off the bench too.

Personally Id take Summerville-Esr-wilson over Esr-pereira-wilson. Not that it will happen, but having a winger that breaks the mould (from the rest of the midfield) with some blistering pace would be wonderful addition for a number of reasons. Wilson Pereira esr might be a bit too similair to each other when comparing to someone like Summerville.  And I also reckon that the 10 position will suit ESR better, and It would make sense to place our record signing in the best position possible

But as I said, it wont happen

ElRay

I suspect he will be the LM replacement for Willian.

Looking on Transfermarkt he's only played 20 games on the left for Arsenal. Scored 8 & assisted 3.

Ten years ago we signed Ross McCormack for 11m quid... I'd say 35m for ESR doesn't sound too stupid when compared to today's prices. Just my opinion.

Cottages

ESR is a great signing. Think he is brilliant on the ball and has a knack of scoring important goals. Equally excited about the Jayden Oosterwolde link, very similar to Bassey - which in my eyes is an upgrade on Ream (despite Ream's excellent service to the club). Also confident of Andre getting done and potentially Mctominay down the line.

Matt10

Not sure at all how Pereira and ESR are similar. Pereira is a playmaker that doesn't dribble all that much, but he is paramount in finding key passes either on the ground or in the air.

Hugh Janus

ESR looks like a very ambitious signing. Well done the club. The fee will be interesting if revealed considering his injury record. The club haven't got many transfers wrong of late. Hopefully Andre is on the plane over too.

demeant0r

Guys, there's no way Marco is selling his baby, aka Pereira. He starts that guy every match possible.

hovewhite

ESR will be a big step up will believe when it's on the offal sorry to be a party pooper everyone.

Get Willian off the sun lounger in Mykonos and back in on a free. That left side suddenly looks stacked.

Brentford are now unable to find a buyer for Toney having already purchased his replacement. Oh dear. 🤣

on the Hounslow team think they are on a dip towards the lower end of the PL.
