 ::cry::  :slap:

Well we've got nothing to talk about.
 ::wink::

Literally Fulham rumours on this page...if you search through all the Sunderland being better than us at transfers talk.

 ::scarf::  ::thumb::

I couldn't give two hoots about Sunderland  OK.
I was just using them as an example that the players theyv'e gone after,whether they are High profile or low profile,they've managed to get them
Enough said on the subject,as some of you just like to argue for the sake of it.

Quote from: FFC1987 on July 31, 2025, 08:38:13 PMI remember when people were losing their minds when Ipswich loaned Phillips last year. Feels similar to me. Wonder if the results will be the same.

It's not the same, Xhaka is a way better signing. He started every game last season for Champions League side Bayern Leverkusen and every game the season before when they won the Bundesliga after being a starter at Arsenal for 10 years. Kalvin Phillips was a City reserve, off the back of a failed loan spell at West Ham

Not sure why this was being discussed but it's a level above signing Kalvin Phillips on loan

I didn't say the player was a like for like. Just that people were losing it when we didn't sign that player.

For all the appearances you mentioned, I will say, having watched him on a number of occasions, including live at their ground whilst on a stag do, his levels were not the same as I'd seen him previously, probably hence why he's ended up at relegation favourites (or amongst them) Sunderland and not another CL club or even mid table EPL club.

Let's wait and see how he does before feeling like we've left out and at envy for.....Sunderland.

Sky reporting that JP to Spurs is in advanced talks now. Was never going to happen but the dream is nearly officially dead.

 ::cry::

Going to be horrible when he lines up against us next season for that horrible club. Sigh.

Hopefull he'll be suspended,as he's likely to be for large chunks of the season anyway

We can but pray. If they sing our song for him if he's playing think I might throw up.  ::cry::

Hypothetical, but with Iwobi and Chuks away in Africa, I would hate to be relying on Nelson staying fit.

Wed also have Adama, Wilson, Sess, then ESR and at a push King can also play wide.

Well, if we sign Sterling (hope not) then just get him to play close to JP and do his usual dive on touch game - JP will see a red early on!

(Well would have done if JP had a Fulham shirt on and diver had Chelsea or Arsenal shirt on)

Ok I'm usually very patient, but this is just ridiculous now. I understand the market is difficult, but it isn't this difficult.

I know TK has this AEW lawsuit going on, maybe he's too distracted with that.

The squad is still too old. We have multiple positions that need upgrading.

Not really sure what the hell Everton are doing. They seem to run their entire recruitment out in the public eye. Bidding for players left right center.

I mean, if we were actually doing some recruitment, we might struggle to keep it out the public eye as well.

So how many times have we been knocked back, behind the scenes, this window?

Deuce23

My worry is with Silva only having a year left and most likely this is his last season. No doubt that is going to have an impact on attracting players to join.

No idea, but I'd like to think less than Everton and Palace.

That being said, it does feel like there's a bit of a waterfall effect happening or waiting to happen, as if the players are holding out to see what the big clubs do, and once they're done, then they'll settle into who to pick from the next rung down.

I think we'd be in contention for the next rung down. A solid squad, who were competing for Europe for most of last season, and with a great manager who has the club playing good and competitive football with the top clubs, winning games. Top players will notice things like those.

That being said, I think Utd will be stronger next season, and so will spurs under Frank. So we'll have to invest to keep up and kick on.

Forest will struggle I reckon to balance their outgoings and incomings with increased European football.

Lol.. every player we sign is mentioned publicly, arguably for months, before we sign them.

All this talk of us doing things in quiet. Bunch of crap.

We're as bad as anyone.

Whichever club buys Dibling will be picking up a player with a lot of potential, in my opinion. Wouldn't surprise me were he to go to Brentford.

Wouldnt worry much about that. Its not like we are some sort of ambitious project like Newcastle where they are desperately trying to punch above their own weight in terms of transfer and looking to convince world class players to join them.

Looking at the players we are linked with its either from lesser leagues or its prem players not getting any playing time. Not much convincing needed other than a decent wage and promise of playing time

Explain Cuenca or Lecomte then?
