Forest in talks with Sevilla right back Carmona.

A nothing story..

«... but a deal appears unlikely at the moment»

Isn't there tax implications if the cash heavy Saudi league players move directly back to the UK? I thought that was why Henderson didn't do it.

Either way i very much doubt Mitro will be returning.

Quote from: hopper on August 20, 2025, 03:29:21 PMAll this direct sniping is not great, can you guys leave it out

It's on topic tbf. was a discussion about transfer approach for Serbian kid with impersonal reasoning on both sides.
One guy then made a silly additional callback joke about validity of Transfermarkt valuations. Was hardly harsh stuff.

Groundhog day in ere at this point, we need a signing or 3 asap 😂

It's tiresome in the wider context however you want to justify it

OK, so is this interaction and ones like it, at least the other stuff was actually about transfers.

So back to that...

They must know the timing of this'll get people talking, so, just for engagement? Or we think there's an actual chance it happens.
tick tock, guess we'll find out soon.

He was so good at bullying defenders like this. Always knew if Mitro got a sniff he would score or very least test the keeper. Raul tries his best but id have Mitro back in a heart beat.

Hoppus

Funny that they are making articles about players Fulham are "unlikely" to sign. Just waiting for SkySports to reveal that it is unlikely we will sign Haaland and Mbappe.

I believe that was related to tax years and only being there half a year or so. Not sure the same would apply in this instance.

Latest from Sky Sports News' Rob Dorsett:

Fulham are considering a bid from Coventry City for winger Martial Godo.

The 22-year-old Ivory Coast youth international made his Premier League debut just before Christmas, but was restricted to only two substitute appearances in the League last season.

He impressed on loan with Wigan in League One the previous season with 38 appearances, but is now keen for more regular first-team football.

Quote from: Angus Telford on August 20, 2025, 02:52:13 PMThe Johnson sale balanced their last breach, albeit a few months too late, hence the fine. All this summer's business will amortise over the next few years so be financed by Elanga plus the £200m annual revenue they'll probably get now they're in Europe. Remember the Douglas Luiz fee reported above as an example on a four year contract would only cost £6m per year.

But they're taking on a lot of extra players wages so that needs to be taken into consideration as well beyond the fees. They'll be getting more revenue due to Europe sure, but wouldn't be surprised if they're in breach or at the least sailing close to the wind.

Marinakis is ambitious for sure and will be doing everything he can to get a squad that can win the Europa. He's not content to just make up the numbers.

Fair play to forest and the owner, sometimes wish we had a little bit more desire to achieve

Would you really want their owner being our owner?

The man is a ...... (I dont want the board getting into trouble)
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Godo needs to play Football definitely a player in there somewhere.

I agree he is an absolute ..... but wouldn't you like our owners to be a little more aggressive in their pursuit of transfer targets and a little more obvious in their ambitions for their club. I think I would.

Don't really understand how they are doing it though - is it going to come back and bite them paying for all these transfers or have they made enough from sales (Elanga)?

As much as I envy their ambitious transfers, I'd hate to see us implode like Leeds did back in the day due to financial recklessness, as no guarantee we would bounce back.

I agree, but I think we are a very long way from "financial recklessness"!

Not fussed about this. He's 22, if he was good enough he'd have gotten way more 1st team gametime by now.

Think you need at least 2 years outside the UK to be exempt from taxes so he should be fine in that regard.

Think that's right 2 years away is the exemption period.

To be blunt he's not going to be PL standard this season, there's other youngsters coming through, move him on.

Super Mick

So Kevin reps were supposed to be meeting with Fulham yesterday, yet absolutely nothing is being said anywhere about it.
