From BBC gossip round up .... Leeds United want a bidding war to ensue for Spanish forward Mateo Joseph, 21, in the hope they can raise funds for a move to sign Brazil and Fulham forward Rodrigo Muniz, 24. (The Sun)

Agree with this, he is very handsomely paid and underperformed last season. If he can't even keep from endorsing terrorist hate crimes, even as a joke, I would like to see him moved on.

Now it is possible that he fat fingered or that he didn't properly look at it so I'm not going to hold off on judgement on it until there is context. But it ain't a good look.

Do you really judge a people by a "like" on social media? What a woke nonsense.

On top of that Leno was as good as ever last season. One of the last members of Fulham squad I would look to replace.

Agree with 2nd half 100%, Leno was great last season and one of our players of season IMO.
Don't think you would be saying that he underperformed last season if that hadn't come up. (Not saying I agree he should be liking posts like that on social media - but he defo didn't fall of last season)
That's not even close to true. Last season was comfortably his worst in a Fulham shirt. In 22-23 he led the league in goals prevented, was 2nd of 23 in PSxG-GA (the advanced shot stopping stat) and had 1 error leading to a shot on goal. In 23-24 he was 13th of 19th in goals prevented, 12th of 25 in PSxG-GA and had 1 error leading to a shot on goal. And finally last season he was 17th of 19 in goals prevented, 16th of 22 in PSxG-GA and had 5 errors leading to a shot on goal. So while for a variety of reasons we're not in the market to replace him this summer, his drop in form over the last couple seasons is a real cause for concern.

Fair enough, disagree. Don't have loads of stats to prove my argument so that's interesting .. but from the eye test I did not notice a drop in his performances.
Personally, my eye test last season agrees with Chi. Think Leno dropped off considerably from his first season with us and I can think of a number of instances last season where either I felt he should have done better, or where he made an clear error.

He'll turn 34 this season and is our highest earner I understand at £130k per week. I don't think he is a priority for replacement at the moment but I think certainly next summer and over the course of this year we need to be thinking about a long term replacement.

Surly if that's his opinion so what everyone has their own point of view and they are entitled to their stand on the subject your view is different to his so what their is no law against an individual point of view.

Bassey the warrior

I find it odd that Leeds genuinely think Muniz would leave a side with ambitions for Europe for relegation fodder.

Think it is a case of Muniz's agent leveraging them in order to get a better contract, like Tete with Everton.

Ederson leaving city for Turkey for £3m at 31 years old would have been a good deal to hijack, plus a major upgrade on Leno

I like Harry a lot, but I also get the sense that he's not an ideal fit for Marco's system and, at 28 now, it's a good chance for us to cash in whilst he'd still fetch a decent fee.

I definitely wouldn't be disappointed if he stays with us, but totally get that it might be best for both the club and him (as I'm sure he wants more minutes) to part ways this summer.

He became a starter after being in incredible form last year and after his injury also stepped up again. I had my concerns about Wilson season before but he deserves his place here in my opinion and proved he can be a big player for us.

Only issue is if he won't sign another contract then sure perhaps the club make a decision but I doubt  a)he'd massively want a move to turkey at this stage of his career b)the club/Marco will want to sell him.

HW is another example where MS lets the system drive the club, rather than the talent we have, a shame, but you can see why Wilson might want to leave at this stage of his career is MS is not going to play him

bencher

My take is that Harry has had some wonderful moments but he hasn't kicked on in the way we would have hoped when we signed him. The hope was that he would lock down the right hand side and become a regular starter and provide double digits of goals and assists at this level. A combination of injuries and patchy form/confidence has dented his impact. I like him a lot but we could definitely benefit from an upgrade in that area. His competition in Adama and Sess are of a relatively similar level albeit they have their own style. At 28 I don't expect H to change much now, so it becomes a tough call for the club and depends on who they could recruit to improve the team.

I guess unless/until that ambition manifests as concrete action that improves the team, it doesn't count for much. Leeds may well have "ambitions for Europe" in their own minds.

There was a post from Fabrizio Romano early in the window after the extension got triggered that Harry Wilson would either sign a new long term contract or leave this window IIRC. Could see the argument for cashing in now as I doubt he is going to increase in value.

Don't think Harry Wilson can be more than a squad player if we actually want to challenge for European spots.

Apart from a couple of defenders the rest are all squad type players and to challenge for European football we will need two thirds of this squad upgrading.

@jolslover

I rate Wilson, good player and done a lot for us. I think we could definitely upgrade on him but probably not for the 15m we paid for him. Not a clear upgrade anyway.

I wonder what would we would be selling for? I don't mind selling if we get a clear upgrade, otherwise no thank you.

I'd be a bit gutted if he went. He's just one of those players that makes something happen. His goals/assists are pretty impressive over the past few years, despite him being in and out of the team.
What I like is that his movement is unlike any of the other players- looking to get in behind, moving diagonally, we've got no one else that does it.
