Err no. Weren't being sarcastic. Yes oldest team in league but not ageing. Ageing means a decline in performance. They can still perform at the highest level, Willian is proof of that in his 1st year with us at age 34. We dont have many players close to that. A few yes but not many.

If the club are worried about this SCR rule coming in, why did Marco say we were looking to bring in additional players, and why did we extend Cairneys contract, as bet he is on good wages, but will probably only play bit part rule.

he's on £30k a week (estimated) so perfect for SCR. Much like Muniz currently on £7.5k a week.....to get players are these qualities costs a lot more to replace.

Also a very good point. Could keep him next year as incredibly low cost (if he still had the legs for it)!

I think probably best to see how many minutes he manages this year first! £30k a week may be cheapish in the context of the wider squad but it would be a fair bit to pay someone who's not on the pitch 70-80% of the time.

Depends on impact off the field as well. Cairneys a known character for the dressing room and a leader. That adds value to the team.

Andserson addition obviously is a leadership role. You'd hope between Lukic or Berge one would emerge as well. I just think for a bit part player, Cairney ticks a lot of positive boxes considering if variably low wage.

Very good point as well. We have a really decent dressing room currently. Sounds like a great place for youngsters coming through as well.

Still could get a mega money last minute move made for Muniz, or Robinson.

This kind of complacency is how you get relegated.

Nobody on here has a Scoobie about what the club are currently looking at in the shape of transfers🙄
Let them do what they're paid for and then see how we stand at the end of the window.
As for complacency, the owners are the ones who would loose the most if we get relegated so I don't believe they are asleep at the wheel..
