Surely having got him on loan last season, we know exactly what Arsenal want and should be motivated and able to get the deal done if we wanted to.

It's all a bit of a farce.

Can't believe we've 4 days until the season opener and have only brough in a backup GK.

Kiernan Dewsbury Hall has gone to Everton in that time, Palhinha to Spurs, both who were mooted as in our sights at some point.

Do we really just think the transfer market will bend to our will? Seems there's a slight air of delusion with how we conduct our business under the Khans.

I don't get this. We've no strong signs of bringing anyone in - we need a striker on top of Muniz and Raul - Marco's a fan, and statistically Muniz is one of the most productive strikers in the league.

Arsenal want an obligation/perm sale. We don't because of the injury risk. Stand off. What can we do accept wait for Arsenal to sign up to our terms apart from cave to theirs to get it done quicker which would be madness?

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we still went for Nelson if we can get him on the right terms even if we got Kevin. All rumours we want two wingers snd Nelson has played more games in his career right rather than left. Iwobi played a tonne right as well. Could well see a scenario where we get both but not unless Arsenal sign up to our terms and the longer it goes the more likely it is that will happen if they have no other options to get him off their books and playing this year.

Am I correct in believing Muniz is one of the lower earning players at Fulham.
His agent will want to change that!

Reportedly 7.5k a week so yes. I do think this is an agent positioning before signing new contract. Although if silly money did come in for him then we can hardly turn it down even with a difficult two strikers to sign deadline....

Why can't we turn the money down? I thought we were owned by a millionaire!

Not being funny, and as much as I love Muniz, if someone's offering say £45-50m for him, that's silly money and i'd snap it off. Muniz has shown glimpses of real talent and potential but the big question mark is, can he be consistent enough. So far, no hence why i just don't think you can turn that money down. Just my opinion of course.

I don't know if I'd sell him a this point in the window knowing it would leave us with 1 senior striker who's 34, but that potential sum of money goes a long way to signing 2-3 extra players on top of the ones we'd probably already got lined up

If he truly had kicked his toys out of the pram, we got offered £50m and we already had a Pepi or Romulo or even a returning Mitrovic lined up then and only then could you see us sanctioning it. The striker market looks to be a nightmare and we already need a third. All massive if's above but not impossible I suppose. Marcos press conference on it will certainly be interesting.

At this point I struggle to see Pepi leaving knowing he's #1 at PSV, guaranteed a year of European football and a good season gets him a big move next summer, and Leipzig will chuck loads of money at Romulo now they've sold Sesko. If we were actually going to move for one of them, we should've had a deal for Muniz lined up so we could trigger both deals at once and not be caught short, but it looks like Atlanta are adoptiing our tactic of bid later and hope for a better deal, which in turn leaves us slim pickings to sign two strikers when we already needed one, and will need another one next summer when Raul leaves

Could be a likely scenario, or we have plenty of other options at our finger tips lined up including say Mitrovic and one of Pepi/Romulo (or a number of linked and not currentl;y linked strikers lined up.) I trust our recruitment, but personally, as much as I like Muniz, I think if hes not signing a new deal, we'd be silly to turn down £50m. One stinker season and we get next to nothing.
