Waiting until the final day to do transfers, can offer some good financial savings if the selling club need to free up a space in their squad...
They could well be more willing to accept a more realistic value for the player they want to sell...
This season, prices have been absolutely mental... 😱
There is some merit in holding your nerve...
Just another view  ::wink::  ::scarf::

Agree and you can save 2 months wages which this day and age could be the best part of a three quarters of a million quid over this time

Less enamoured with Chuk, he got 3 goals and 2 assists last season playing in 26 matches, and the season before he scored 1 goal and got 3 assists in 24 matches.. He's 26 and has never got more than 11 g/a's in a season, which was his last at Villarreal in 2022/23. Last season his g/a is just over 1 every two games, so you can expect him to produce a g/a every 2-3 games.

Stats for that season can be found here

I'd prefer Nelson as I've mentioned, who's younger and has better stats, despite playing less time due to injuries.

I think you may yet be pleasantly surprised by chuk. Milan been a bit of a basket case of late tbh.

As for nelson , he's great , IF he's fit. Which is the issue. So many injuries it's just a big risk I can understand the club being cautious on.

Yes, in his first year at Milan, Chuk was used more like a supersub coming on late in games (when Milan needed a point or three)

Always seemed to score too !

Kevin definitely not in the Shakhtar squad. Adds even more credibility to the rumours from today.

Not a rumour.
He's having a medical later today at Motspur.

Mullers OG

Let's hope these rumours are correct. Kevin on one wing and Chuk on the other free up Wilson and Iwobi. Our current back up, especially on the right, is hopeless.

Anybody else have the gut feeling that everything will implode and we will sign nobody today or tomorrow. ::bump::

The club has to be very happy getting €7M for Godo.

I would have preferred a sell-on fee added, but can't really complain with the E7m.

Mullers OG

Godo needs to move on for his career. He's a fine young player overlooked by us. Should have covered for Wilson on the right. I think our old FB Rosenior manages Strasbourg. A good young manager.

Decent fee in the circumstances.

What a lovely morning! Kevin, Chuk, the only thing I'm wondering about is selling Godo. Whether it's 6ml or 7ml (it's not my money), I really like him and believe this is a fantastic strategy to acquire young players for a small fee, rather than spending a fortune on ESR or Kevin.

He is a good player who needs game time.
No question he needs to play. It's a real shame he didn't get a loan last season. However from what I've seen of him he's a LONG way from being a PL player so I'd imagine the club is quite pleased with getting that for him.

[ A good manager to take over when Marco leaves.he was unlucky at Hull city.

I see Fulham were playing cricket today in the 100 women's final. The ball was bowled, hit the bail, the bale lit up but didn't fall. Not out. Sometimes the luck just aint there.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope
