Contradicts Peter on the buy option. But seems its going ahead. Do trust Peter though as he's always been our most accurate journalist.

I think he's conveniently glossing over it with the " the Premier League gave green light to the move after new talks with Fulham" - why would we need new talks if it was the same loan??

If I wake up tomorrow to Bayern kid with an option I'm revising to a 7 out of 10 window with potential to be much higher should those players have the impact I hope and believe they can. CM depth my only main area of concern.

Points dropped for bringing in a CM and for not having a couple in before the last day (although regarding these specific players it does seem that wasn't all on us)

I hope it's accurate. Three positive-sounding new arrivals is obviously a better number than two. If he comes, a few other P.L. clubs might be thinking this is something of a coup.

If they managed to pull this off with an option that is some incredible brinkmanship negotiating there.

Only a CM down then really but if Iwobi/King/Ridgeon can help TC/Reed cover Berge and Lukic we may be OK. Might lack a bit of height and physicality at set pieces if Berge and Lukic out for too long with those others IMO, but may add a creative link between defence and midfield in open play.

Kusi Asare is 6 ft 5 at only 18 apparently!

Kevin + Chukwu is a good window given that Wilson didn't go. It's just frustrating that we leave everything late.

As for Kusi-Asare, it feels like a smart move. Better talent that what we have available in the academy to fill that 3rd spot, and a fee agreed upfront if he is a success.

Next summer potentially keeping Kusi + Chukwu will be key if they both have a good season, then replacing CM's as TC and Reed likely to depart.

He's only 18, and there's very little video of him. I guess if Bayern are happy to let him go, he might not be  someone they consider to be a top level prospect (though I guess them getting Jackson in means he has another player ahead of him this year, and coming to us gives him some exposure to a top league etc).

But from what I see, good feet for a big man, enough speed, eye for a pass etc. Swedish too, and with those lanky attributes, he's obviously the new Isak.

When we have it confirmed I think the third quality young forward pushes up the success rate of the window. We lost nobody of importance that wasn't replaceable already by players we have. We have a quality keeper and two quality wingers.

Squad numbers may be less than desired. Plus players can be injured on international duty and at any other time. However has to be a 7 or 8 out of ten. If we confirm the forward and everything then we would all be happy had this been known before. For most anyway.

Kusi-Asare is exactly the sort of third choice striker I'd hoped for:

- not too expensive;
- young, so lots of room to improve;
- offers something different from Raul/Rodrigo (6'5", so could be ideal as a late sub to punt crosses and long balls to against a sticky defence).

I would've loved a decent CM to be brought in, but overall not disappointed with the three we've got.

Looking at other teams in the league, I'm pretty confident we've got enough to stay up this year, and I'm pleased that it's another window where we've brought the average age of the squad down.

The west London club explored a loan but would only go ahead if there was an option to make it a permanent deal at the end of the loan period.

A formal announcement is expected at some point today.

The window has gone from being slightly disappointing to really good with this news. Exactly the sort of 3rd forward we needed, young, bags of potential and will replace Raul in a season or so's time.

Slightly annoying not to have got a MF, but with Iwobi, ESR, TC and King, we have enough players to fill in for Sasa's suspensions!

Slight caveat on the player not being too expensive, as its not something we know yet.

On the face of it as a loan you're right, but it's a loan with a potential option - which if it does exist, unless I'm missing the news, could still be high. We had apparently agreed a deal for George around £22m which for me was over the top for a player from their academy who'd hardly played. If Asare was similar, having played even less than George, then it'd definitely have to be considered as expensive.

Sorry to be a grey cloud, but I've just been having a dig around on Kuli-Asare ,
And the word Germany appears to be that the kid has already been told he is returning to Bayern next summer and we have effectively paid £4 million for a one season loan,
Looks like the deal was cobbled together at the last minute to just get it done but I think the Bayern buy back clause could be hugely significant,
Hopefully this is all completely incorrect as a one season loan for an 18 year old makes no sense to me.

Assume the option to buy only comes into play if the player wants to move? In which case maybe it's been added to "shut us up", with both Bayern and player knowing it'll never be enforced.
