Agreed. Likelihood is he does leave, but there were a lot of similar level reporters claiming he was all agreed to go to Saudi which never materialised.

I'm not having a problem with  Marco deciding to leave, and no problem with the amount of time  it's taken for him to decide.

If the Club are organised and plan properly we should have been sounding out manager's six months ago!

Arrogance is the perfect word to describe Marco Silva's attitude over the past 2 seasons. As mentioned previously, our season has ended around March for 2 years now and apart from taking any responsibility himself, he blames the club for any shortfalls. He got players he wanted but can't do his job effectively enough to manage them. Onwards and upwards hopefully with a new leader.

People have got to start living in the real world - if you have a contract then it is the individual's right to run it down as they please. We have come a long way since sending young boys up chimneys and I am astonished how some people view employment rights.
It's the same when managers are sacked and get a huge payoff - people are up in arms yet would rightly demand the same if in that position.
He has been , and still is a great manager for us . I think it is time for a change as the football has become stale but we must never forget what he has done for the club and that he is within his rights to choose his career path going forward.

The whole will he won't he scenario could have been handled so much better and that's why many fans are so disgruntled. It didn't have to end this way, if indeed Marco moves on.

I do not mind Wilson running down his contract at all, he has every right to do so.
Marco on the other, he has taken on the responsibility of a leader, the public face of the club, as a natural consequence of him being the one club representant that talks to the press the most, sets our style of play, being outspoken about wanting his players in etc. Transparency and communication is a massive part of his job, whether he likes it or not. Hence yes, I will be angry for the way that he has handled his contract situation and communicated it if he leaves, no matter his accolades and whatever has been going on behind the scenes.

I would guess with what Marco has achieved with Fulham he gets to make the important decisions where recruitment is concerned. Think this manager given players to coach term is a tad off the mark but it makes for a story. That's not to say that at times its a case of beggars can't be choosers especially when we tend to do our late night shopping trips every transfer deadline day and you end up with a player/s who you are not entirely convinced about but it's take it or leave it?
If it's a case of wanting transfers done early well all managers would want that but in this day and age with players and agents holding the power teams of our size have to wait in line. I Can't believe in todays football our scouting setup come management team are not aware of any professional footballer playing in any obscure league in the world. If there not then there not doing their job properly.

Marco Silva and Harry Wilson should both have been moved on last summer after turning down the contract offers.

I don't understand your attitude. Could you please share with us your personal thoughts on your  next job move, or perhaps your plans to move home, or maybe the state of your bank balance or any other private matter? Because clearly we are all entitled to know.

I generally agree with you. Just one caveat, he should not have recently denied talking to them. Better to have said nothing than lied.

I think Marco's indecision is led by how the directors of the club and transfer business has been run.. I think if he felt everything was seamless (e.g. signing Pepi in Jan as well as Bobb, getting in a CM and not having a thing squad), we'd possibly be in Europe now and progress would've been made and he'd feel it.

All this should've been sorted  better and earlier from both sides look at Boscombe theyve been seamless in their handling of a new manager replacing the Old manager.

Bournemouth could have Champions league football but it hasn't stopped him leaving. I read before he was going back to Spain for family reasons but no one is mentioning that now so I assume his motivation is money.

Bournemouth could have Champions league football but it hasn't stopped him leaving. I read before he was going back to Spain for family reasons but no one is mentioning that now so I assume his motivation is money.

I hadn't read that, to be honest I think he's aiming higher than both Bournemouth and Palace and is looking to see what vacancies present themselves in the off season.
