...in Brede Hangeland, John Arne Riise, Bjorn Helge Riise, Fulham have three Norwegian players in the team; I thought it would be a good idea to show our support and sympathy in light of recent events by bringing and showing Norwegian Flags at the Aston Villa game. I have found a cheap site to buy flags from - the cheapest (3' x 2') being just under a fiver delivered from the site below:-

Great idea, would be a massive boost to the boys, and show our support for them and a chance to show our scandie supporters we care about them as well.

What about the Split game?

...I thought the Villa game would give people time to get the flags in time - especially if there is increased demand...

If you plan to buy a bigger one, I would be willing to chip in a fiver.

Perhaps Airfix can buy a Belgian one?
No forum is complete without a silly Belgian participating!

A big flag would be superb, i know the Al Fayed one never got done, but i'd give Kaz a tenner for you at the Split game if you want to do one LB.

...Spence, I was thinking more in terms of Fulham fans buying from a site  - like the above so that these players could see loads of Norwegian flags all around the ground - rather than one big one...

In any event, it's a great idea.

Yeah but i wont be at the game. Sorry LB put unwanted pressure on you there, if anyone wants to do one, and it will have to be quick, then i'll have a tenner for you at the Split game.

I was actually thinking along the lines of a flag like Liams Nigerian Whites one. I think he told me it was £150, i wont go into the reasons behind the Nigeria bit, but it wasn't in support of Etuhu, although apparently he loves it. After the Villa game we could give it to the Norwegians and when one comes over for a game they could bring it with them. Might even make Brede think i never want to leave this club.

Bilet

Both me and Mats will be over for the Villa-game. Whatever gesture made we will be sure to take part.

Great idea - I'm going to buy one. I might even buy an old Norway shirt.

White Noise, if you're behind this, do you think it might be worth trying to get support through Twitter? It would be lovely if when the team went onto the pitch they'd see hundreds of flags.

HatterDon

A brilliant idea, Ed. It would be nice also to do so when clubs with Norwegian players come to the Cottage. I just checked Wiki and it seems that there are no longer any Norwegians on their books.

A wee bit cheaper:

Good shout Imperial. Less than £3 for a decent sized flag. Surely 20-30 Fulham fans could buy one of these each. Would create quite a sight at the Split game.

(I do tend to think that this needs to be done sooner, rather than later. I'm not sure that the significance would still be remembered (sadly) by Villa match).
English by birth, Fulham by the grace of God.

I'd be happy to buy some for folks attending the match - PM if you're interested.
