Quote from: Thames Bank 1 on July 03, 2024, 02:45:49 PMSo at this moment that is 4 players required, not including prior to William, Reid and Palhinha going, that Marco was saying he wanted

Not quite - unless Adama Traoré turns up to Motspur Park with a band-aid on his knee - he can be counted as a new player for the coming season
It could be better, but it's not a fantasy:

Palhinha deal done ✅
Willian rejected the offer last Friday but it's now reaching the news.

Fulham have stayed in contact with Fluminense and will now push to complete a deal for André quickly.

Big summer ahead for Fulham now with funds to spend some targets have shifted.

André has a knee injury - not played since late April. He will apparently be back mid-July, but I'm not convinced that the club are pushing to sign him quickly:

"Back! Mano Menezes confirms André as a starter for Fluminense for the match against Internacional, tomorrow, at Maracanã. The midfielder returns to the field after 70 days."

yes back ahead of schedule 👍🏻

Just read that JP is not having his medical until after the euros. What is that all about? He's in frigging Germany anyway. If they get to the final that is nearly two weeks before it is done. Surely until it is done we can't sign a replacement as what if he gets a huge injury and Bayern pull out? Gutted he is going but if he is frigging annoying they are not 100% finalising it so we can move on. Watch the likes of Andre sign for Spurs whilst we wait.

I Reckon Marco will spend some time scouting in Portugal pre season.

I would guess his country want him training with them, quite standard during a tournament. I believe the England team do not allow players to take medicals (maybe even talk) to clubs while at a tournament due to past distractions

There should be the odd doctor in Germany capable of carrying out the mediical.

Well not really - players are rarely allowed to leave international duty to complete a transfer, and why would Portugal who are prepping for a quarter final release a starting player to go and do a medical elsewhere? We know he's going, Bayern know he's likely going to pass the medical so it doesn't stop us sorting out a replacement

I agree, but country's basically call the tune under UEFA and FIFA rules when they are with them, so if Portugal say we want you to focus on this then do the medical then that's what happens. That is as I understand how the sanctioning bodies like it to be, like a player who the club say is injured has to go to his nations medical team to confirm that of required.

It will have done but that is for the 3 year accounting period that included the championship year where we had massive losses and less allowable losses. After the 30th of June this year the 3 year accounting period does not include the championship and allowable losses are higher. It does include last year when the Mitro sale was made so with all that considered and the JP sale on top as well as removing 3 massive salaries in Mitro, JP and Willian should have a small fortune to spend. We still need to negotiate good deals but my god I wish they'd get on with something now the 30th of June has passed to give us all a bit of good news!

I'm sure that negotiations for replacements will have begun before the transfer is fully finalised. Also won't have to travel far for it after the euros.

Think someone blurted out something that had crossed mind, bit of a set up me thinks.

Just heard on wireless Wolves accept bid of £40m from Westham for Kilman? Good centre back but that is some fee!

Keep seeing reports of FFC interest in McTominay.  Apparently MS keen on this player and would like to pair with Pereira.

Could work well, McTominay scores goals but isn't that creative whereas Andreas is practically the opposite. We would still need a Palhinha replacement though.

And ESR playing on the left with those two would be great to watch
