Bassey the warrior

I can count on one hand the number of players Silva failed to get a tune out of, so I'll be content with whoever we sign. That being said I'm hoping we can move on Raul and bring in a striker on loan, ideally a bit of a poacher, to give us depth on the bench.

Haven't seen a lot of Benda only before matches when the Keepers are going through the  pre match stuff looks alright to me. But he is getting plenty of adverse criticism after the Seville friendly. I wondering if Marco mentioning Back line is getting a Keeper in?

Could possibly be. I actually think Benda needs a loan move, he's only 25. A year under Leno was probably good for his development, but if the opportunity arrises to bring in someone a bit more experienced, I think Benda should be sent out to get more experience if someone is willing to take him.

I'm wondering if we will take one of Chelsea keepers they've a surplus available.

I like it that the club wouldn't be held to ransom by Fluminese over price, if indeed that was the case. Also the signing of Berge at lower cost may make the difference financially allowing other players to be brought in this week.

I'm actually more annoyed about the way the club handled Matt O'Reilly who should be a regular with us these days.

Sometimes the club get a bad rep for releasing/moving on players, but as we don't know the circumstances, maybe the club and I mean the coaches decided it was the right thing at the time, hindsight as they say is wonderful, to be honest I know nothing about him.

The president of Fluminense came out recently saying no bids were made to their counter offer price of between 25-35m euros. If that's the case then at £20m-25m  for berge there's a suggestion we could've potentially afforded him and laid the same amount, or similar.

I can see him being a flop like so many recent Man U signings!

Bergwijn looked good in the highlights.
Tricky, pretty fast, eye for goal and made good decisions.
The one thing I didn't see though was being able to cross with his left foot.
If playing wide left you need to be able to do so.
This was a problem with Iwobi yesterday.

It's a valid point, but if it's true that Fulham could have purchased Berge or Andre at basically the same cost then it's likely that Marco preferred Berge. No way to know that to be a fact but it follows logically.

Napoli agree €30m McTominay deal
Latest from Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth:
"Napoli have agreed a deal with Manchester United for midfielder Scott McTominay.
"The fee is understood to be worth €30m + significant sell on.
"Once personal terms are agreed, it will be up to McTominay to decide if he wants to go.
"If all goes through, the transfer will aid United's move for Manuel Ugarte from PSG.
"Napoli want to do deals for McTominay AND Brighton's Billy Gilmour - but may have to sell first to do both."

Fulham will reportedly look to seal a late move for 26-year-old Girona winger Viktor Tsygankov, with the Catalan outfit demanding around €30 million to part ways with him.
According to a report by AS, as relayed by Sport Witness, Viktor Tsygankov is the subject of interest from Fulham. The Cottagers are keen on signing a wide attacker before the summer transfer window shuts down. Meanwhile, Girona will demand around €30 million to part ways with the 26-year-old winger.

Viktor Tsygankov has been among the best wingers in La Liga since joining Girona from Dynamo Kyiv in January 2023. He went under the radar during his formative years and the early part of his career. However, he has taken to the Spanish top flight like a fish to water.

Sadly seemingly just a rehash of a rehashed story so no new development or info yet.

Of all the options linked I know the least about him tbh but appears to have done well at girona

I really like Tsygankov but I thinkt that one is even more unrealistic than Chiesa or Depay. Why would he leave Girona when they are going to be playing in the CL and he will be a starter?

Wages? Reportedly on 20k/week. We could triple that without any trouble.
